Just to expand on this game Lily Yepez goes 4-4 with 2 rbi's. Dahlia Palacio 3-4 and 2 Rbi's, Morse gets 2 hits Madison Steppe gets her 6th win against 3 loses goes the distance giving up 3 runs on 6 hits and 4 k's. She has now won 4 in a row. Hampton is 1-6 and we should bring the brooms out in this series.

Hampton can hit a bit
Emma needs to be on her game
Their pitching is average and their fielding is struggling

Blow out a weak Hampton team today run ruling them 10-0 in 5 innings. All of our runs scored in the 1st inning. A lot of walks in that inning forcing runs in but also some hard hit balls. This team is hitting a ton so far has 17 home runs thru 24 games. Last years team had 19 home runs all year playing 50 games. This team is going to score some runs hope our pitching is good the rest of the way. Falon pitches 5 shutout innings giving up 5 hits and 8 K's. No walks. We're now 7-1 in the CAA.

We took out the brooms and were able to use them we scrape across 2 runs in the second inning and that holds up as freshman Madison Steppe goes the distance and pitches a shutout giving up 7 hits with 2 walks and striking out 8. We're now 8-1 in the CAA and and will find out soon how good we're when we play some of the better teams in this league.

We played a double header against Central Connecticut State yesterday we won the the first game 10-2 in 5 innings. Emma Falen pitched a complete game giving up 2 runs on 3 hits and struck out 9. Morse, Sultan 3-3 and Cancel drove in 2 runs each. Morse rbi's came on a 2 run home run. We had 10 hits.
In the second game we were winning most of the game but our pitching was less than stellar with starter Madison Steppe going 3 giving up 3 hits and 3 runs and also walking 4. Haig came in and only recorded 2 outs in the 4th walking 4 giving up 2 runs on 1 hit, Jillian Locher came in and pitched 1 inning giving up 3 runs all unearned on a error by Cancel. She also walked 3. We brought in freshman Casey McKeon who gave up 2 runs on 4 hits and was charged with the loss. We lose 10-9 and walk 12 batters in this game. Just a poor pitching performance all around. Two rbi's each for Morse, Sultan and Palacio.

I watched this game and don't know how good Drexel is but their pitching looks like it leaves a lot to be desired. One thing for sure it's very evident this HU team can hit. We have a .298 batting average have hit 21 home runs which is more then all of last year have 127 RBI's. Yesterday Morse goes 3-3 with a home run, Palacio 4-4 with a home run 4 rbi's, Villar 3-3 and a home run. We had 15 hits our pitcher freshman Madison Steppe pitches a complete game 1 hitter with 4 K's. This team is playing very well right now and is 9-1 in the CAA.

The train keeps rolling another walk off win this time in 6 innings leading 7-0 freshman catcher Ryleigh Smith goes yard with a three run home run and we win 10-0. Smith had a huge day going 3-4 with a home run, two doubles and 6 rbi's. Emma Falen pitches a complete game giving up no runs 1 hit and striking out 3. Team right now is looking almost unbeatable at this level.

We scored 9 in the bottom of the first to win 9-5 to sweept Drexel. After hosting two games in Farmingdale, today was at Molloy in Rockville Centre.

Our season innings are exactly 40 percent by Madison Steppe, 40 percent by Emma Falen, and 20 percent by Emma Brennan, Jillian Locher, Casey McKeon, and Kailyn Haig combined.

Joey, the softball field is being redone
Due to the harsh winter, the work was delayed
They just finished flattening the field. They have to put in the turf, making sure that the drain is right for this field.

Right now we're 11-1 in the CAA and we look like the team to beat aLTHOUGH WE HAVEN'T PLAYED THE GOOD TEAMS IN THE sOUTH DIVISION Campbell, Charleston and UNCW. UNCW and Campbell are both 7-2. We play Towson over the weekend they are 4-5 18-14 overall. We are hitting .305 as a team and have 145 RBI's only 30 shy of all of last year. Freshman Ryleigh Smith catcher now has 14 RBI's with just 41 at bats. She's getting more and more playing time.

We played a doubleheader OOC yesterday and swept both games against St Peters winning the first 9-4 Morse goes 3-3 with 2 home runs and 5 rbi's freshman Mckeon pitches a complete game giving up 4 runs on 10 hits with 3 strikeouts GETTING HER FIRST WIN. We trailed 4-0 in the second game making some early errors and giving St Peters some unearned runs but scored 2 in the 5th and 4 in the 6th to win this one. Sophomore Jillian Locher pitched well in this game after coming in for freshman Haig. She pitched 6 2/3 innings striking out 5 and allowing only 2 hits. Morse had 2 rbi's, Sultan 2, Palacio 2-3 1 rbi and Villar an Rbi. The final was 6-4. We're now 18-14 and 11-1 in CAA play.

So we played Fordham yesterday and for four innings this was a scoreless game. Falon on the hill pitched 4 scoreless innings giving up 2 hits and recording 3 K's. We bring in Locher in the 5th inning and she gives up 3 runs 2 earned on 2 hits. She starts the 6th and runs into trouble so Steppe comes in to relieve and she gives up a run on a hit with 2 walks and 1K. WE lose 4-1 as Fordham pitching quieted our bats that had been red hot in our previous 5 game winning streak. Their pitcher Simcoe came into the game with an ERA under 3 and she pitched well giving up no runs in 4.1 innings. We scattered 6 hits got doubles from Palacio and Sultan but not much else to talk about. This could be a foreboding of games yet to come against the Southern division of this conference UNCW, CAMPBELL AND CHARLESTON. Fordham in the A-10 plays against better competition came in at 13-17.
