In this nonsensical era of paying players, it might be worthwhile to step back and re-assess what the actual mission of the university is, and how we define "success".

They did close off part of one end of the arena a few years ago. Don't know if that amounts to 1400 seats - let's get to the 3700+ before being concerned about 5100. Only way we get a sellout is a strong team and a Power 4 opponent (AKA SJ)

According to the D1 Docket website, HU has home games with Norfolk State and Quinnipiac. There are away games at Iona and Temple. These are all return games from last year's schedule with no specific dates listed. There is also a group of 3 games at the Palestra against Penn, LaSalle, and Merrimack.

...So we'll be playing at least 4 of the 6 teams in the Philadelphia Big 5 next season. Bring on St. Joe's and Villanova too!

The CAA announced the 2025-26 opponents for MBB. HU's schedule will be 18 games, with 6 opponents both home and away and 6 only one game. This totals 18 league games. Charleston, Drexel, Monmouth, Northeastern, Stony Brook, and Towson are both home and away. Campbell, Elon, and Hampton are only home. NC A&T, UNCW, and William & Mary are only away. It looks like the long travel games have been cut back. I miss Delaware already after such a long series, since the 1950's, of great and memorable games. In case anyone didn't hear, William & Mary and Villanova are leaving the CAA Football conference for the Patriot League. This, along with UDel leaving, depletes the CAA Football Conference. MBB will continue with the Thursday and Saturday schedule with a few Monday games.

Looks like prices are going up for 25-26. Renewals stay the same for this, but new season ticket holders pay more, which is a preview for all of us for next year! And wow - courtside seats are pricey! Forget moving to D3 even, I’m worried this program really has no idea what direction it’s going in and just makes me sad. There seems to be very limited effort to engage season ticket holders. Even the *NEW* features they’re marketing are worthless - 24/7 ticket service (for what?) and mobile tickets system (ain’t new, they just want to stop printing tickets). Last season, I stopped hearing from the ticket manager after November - no efforts to offer me free tickets, no efforts to ask me how the season is going, nothing. The most effort was a phone call to try and fill the Mack for the first one game of the season. That’s not sports marketing, it comes across as low effort and that season ticket holders are meaningless to them. Im just venting because we can be upset about a lot of things, but fan engagement is low hanging fruit and they have the staff to do it.

So spot on Pride they pay token attention to the fan base certainly could be doing more especially since this is supposed to be our FLAGSHIP sport. I'm all in regardless and do what I can to support this program as well as others. Enjoy going to the women's basketball games as well where if you look at the coaches there it seems like we have almost as much staff as we have players. Although we're getting better we have been abysmal in past years. Both our soccer programs have done well in the past and seem to do more with less. Simon has never had a losing season and operates the program on a very frugal budget.

Pride Lounge passes are $400 per ticket this year (up from $350 last year and I think $300 2 years ago). It has been fairly crowded the past couple years so they might be trying to make it a bit more exclusive. Is everyone still renewing pride lounge passes too?

I believe the Pride Lounge money goes into the "unrestricted" account, which supports all teams, not just MBB. It helps track, field hockey, tennis, etc.

I plan to buy two Pride Lounge passes to go with my two season tickets, all of which will help our athletic programs.

Also, I'm sure catering costs have gone up.

Another way to look at it: How much does it cost to go to a Knicks or Rangers game these days? MBB is a relative bargain, even if you opt for the lounge.

The pride lounge only runs slightly above break even, my guess it still probably will at $400 a piece.

It definitely has gone up quite a bit as has been mentioned although I thought the food was donated by a few different restaurants. In the past too many people were getting into the lounge who didn't belong there but they now put bands on people who have paid for it. I'll buy four passes like I have done for a while even though sometimes I don't use all 4.

I mean I am going to get the three pride lounge passes even at $400. Just was curious other peoples thoughts. But sounds like most people are on the same page that it is worth it.
