Still 50 away from Speedy after just 15 on Saturday, so it'll now take a couple of good scoring games (at around his current average) to catch Speedy in that game on 2/9.

The game before (against Elon, on 2/7), he can set a new CAA record with what could be his 77th straight game in double figures, breaking the 76 straight set by both David Robinson and Reggie Lewis. So a chance to not only right ship at home this week after seeing the winning streak end, but a chance for JWF to simultaneously get a couple of nice milestones in the two home games coming up.

It’s pretty incredible to think how JWF would have a shot at approaching 3,000 points had he red shirted his freshman year and was coming back next year. The fact that he’s gonna finish likely top 5 all time in only 3 years is insane. Would hate to see 2,000 have to happen on the road so let’s home he has a big weekend.

I like his chances on Saturday but we need to be focused on winning now that's the #1 priority. Team first!

Correct. I was going by what Hofstra listed below, after the Northeastern loss. I should have questioned that, since Northeastern obviously joined the CAA (2005-06) even later than Hofstra did.

- Wright-Foreman reached double figures in scoring for the 76th consecutive game. It is the second-longest active streak in the nation and tied for the 14th-longest in NCAA Division I history. In addition, it is tied for the longest in the history of the CAA with David Robinson of Navy (1985-87) and Reggie Lewis of Northeastern (1984-87).

Yup, they do (that's why some wanted Rok to get a game in one of those lousy tourneys last year instead of falling 9 boards short of David Robinson's rebounding record).

At his average, he needs 8 games for Number 3. If we win the regular season title and get in the NIT if we lose our first CAA Tournament game, we get at least 8 games. It's possible that JWF could pass Nisenson in the same game as UNCW's Kai Toews breaks the CAA season assists record. That could happen if we're the 1 and UNCW wins the 8 vs. 9 game. Voters could have to decide on Rookie of the Year without knowing if Toews will break a season record (for any CAA player, not just freshmen) in the CAA Tournament.

Pemberton is on pace to finish ninth in points after next season.

So if they both hang on to first place and play in the CAA Finals, it's a pretty good bet that Jenkins will be the only one JWF won't catch.

More immediately, we can expect some more accolades to come his way at home again. Unless he goes over 42 again (at UNCW), he'll very likely pass Laurel in Hofstra's next home game on 2/21. I'd say there's probably a 40% chance he'll have the 29.67 he'd need to average over the next three games to also catch Stokes on Senior Day, two days later.

Rich Laurel with all due respect you were a great player but you must be starting to hear the footsteps getting louder and louder. If we give him a normal freshman year he would be right near the top and maybe on the top looking down. He's had an unbelievable career and there's still plenty of work to be done.

Rich Laurel was the best Hofstra player I've ever seen. Speedy was second and Charles third. Justin is closing in on the fourth spot on my person Dutch "Mount Rushmore".

Note: I did not see Nisenson or Thieben. I am not THAT old!
