Exactly what I was thinking, Stu when Estrada did that. I think Eli's was about 10 feet longer, from about 85.

Won at Delaware by 10 with Cooks scoreless.

Up 67-43 at Elon with Ray scoreless.

Starting to learn how to win, and win easily, in a variety of ways. No longer Estrada just carrying them on his back.

In the first 8:03, we outscored them 13-10. With 12:19 left, Silverio made 2 free throws for his first points of the half. We shot 5-14 including threes 0-5 and have 3 turnovers in the half. Silverio committed our seventh foul, so Elon has attempted 12 free throws and could attempt a lot more. They averaged only 14.0 free throw attempts.

This game would seem like the perfect opportunity for Carlos to get some PT.

No disrespect meant, love ya Jojo, but who cares? Let him play next year if he's here. Silverio has a program-record 10 3s! They are looking like one of the clear teams to beat in D.C. Couldn't care less who isn't getting playing time at the end of the bench. Let's enjoy what we have from who IS playing.

I am always for emptying the bench in a blowout. The other team is embarrassed and you don't want your starters getting hurt.

Sure, but not Silverio. Let him add to the record. This is an extremely rare, special game. Let him finish it.

Can we never enjoy things around here?!! Unbelievable!!

Silverio became the first CAA player ever to make 11 threes. Simmons fouled out with 6:57 left up 34. Four of the last nine CAA games had halftime margins of at least 20. Ray made a three to join Silverio, Estrada, and Dubar in double-digits. Estrada had 6 assists in 9:54 to make 7.

Ok that's enough after that miss. Might see Elon again in the tournament.

We are killing Elon. Silver is comes of the bench to score 25 in first half. And to add insult to injury Estrada hits a 70 footer at the buzzer to close out the half

Hofstraleads 56-34.

Sorry, forgot to send at half.

Right now I have to say, and where’s Polito? That we are the team to beat in the CAA…Towson is a tough match for us but the way we’re playing makes me think we will dance come March.

Congrats to Speedy for pulling this team together when it matters!

We'll never know, but gonna assume Silverio doesn't score 40 if this game had been played on Dec. 31 as originally scheduled.

Amazing how some things turn out just right at just the right times.

Kudos to Omar for a special night and great win. We seem to be peaking too at just the right time.

This brings them to .500 on the road, by the way, at 8-8.

10-4 in the CAA and will be favored in these final four games at home. Said early in the season in another thread, if they go 5-4 on the road in the CAA and hold serve at home, they'd be 14-4. So they finished 6-3 on the road and can finish 8-1 at home to get to the same 14-4.

Simmons led us with 6 rebounds and played our seventh most minutes. Andrew Junkin led all players with 8 rebounds and played Elon's eighth most minutes. It must be rare for both teams to have their leading rebounder rank seventh or lower on the team in minutes. Points off turnovers were 31 to 3, so that was 28 of the 33 point margin. I wonder if our 55 bench points is a team or CAA record, but nobody keeps track of that. We had more steals, 13 to 2, and fast break points were 14 to 0. We had 18 assists and 5 turnovers for a ratio of 3.6, and nobody committed more than 1. We made 12 of 13 free throws. Cramer missed our last one, but he made his first 3. We raised our free throw percentage from .798 to .803, and our team record is .802. Estrada had his fourth consecutive game without attempting a free throw. Burgess did not have an assist in 17 minutes. Silverio increased his three-point field goal percentage from .320 to .355, and passed Dubar and Estrada. Elon attempted 41 field goals, which tied the season-low for our opponent with Towson's win at us.

Here are the points per game changes:

Estrada: 18.9 to 18.7
Ray: 13.6 to 13.44
Cooks: 13.8 to 13.38
Dubar: 12.2 to 12.2 (slight decrease by scoring 11)
Silverio: 9.6 to 10.7
Iyiola: 7.6 to 7.6 (slight decrease by scoring 7)
Cramer: 5.4 to 5.4 (slight increase by scoring 7)
Simmons: 3.9 to 3.8
Burgess: 1.6 to 1.6 (slight decrease by scoring 0)
Carlos: 1.1 to 1.0

I wonder how rare it is to have four players not change their points per game rounded to the nearest tenth.

What a win. I want to play Elon all day, every day.

Kudos to Omar. It's a real shame people on these boards bash him. I think someone even started a thread about his woes earlier this year. Tisk, Tisk. This team is hot.

Not the first time, for sure. Remember how Coburn went off on them early in a similarly lopsided win at home?

Although, we sure weren't saying that after last year's CAA tourney.

New nickname for Omar
Hi Yo Silver!
Every time he hits the trey they should play the theme from the Lone Ranger.
