Navy was impressive. Could be a top 10 team.

I completely disagree with that approach. The reality is in that in college lacrosse there simply aren't a ton of coaches fired unless there is an off-field incident. Look at St. John's, with Jason Miller which hasn't made Big East Tourney since 2012 and has no NCAA appearances since taking over in 2007. Team had one win last season and he is still there. We certainly aren't where we want to be wins and losses wise, but Tierney has run a very clean program since taking over and kept us in mix. He and his hard-working players, who have great character, deserves our support in the good and tough times.
Certainly your right HP1. Do what you feel is best. That's what I'm doing. That's my right. My time is very limited, and therefore very valuable, as is everyone elses. This stuff doesn't get it just 'because'. When I spend my time one place, it automatically means I'm not spending it somewhere else. There needs to be some ROI. So far, it's a decade of garbage. That doesn't 'deserve' my time energy or money. The 'hard worker' just got his ass handed to him by a former student I've been clamoring for for years.

We're talking about the SPORT not the CLASSROOM here. Being a good guy isn't the calling. His job is to WIN on the field. And good gracious St Johns isn't the barometer. Let's have some standards please. Remember when HU used to be a top 10 team? Now we're making excuses because NAVY looks like one.

How can that be if some of you guys keep defending this like no one can compete with the big dogs anymore? How did he lead a startup Marquette program in the middle of hockey country and make a national splash? Hmm... so odd. Wonder if it might actually be coaching? Mind-blowing bold thought, I know, I'm out there.

Navy humiliates us at home. We were never in the game.
Crazy. What a "shocker". Who could've called this??

ST just got B-Slapped by the guy who should be coaching HERE. Hopefully one day HU starts to care about it's mens lax program again more than it cares about it's 'good ol boy' network.

Should be gone the minute his daughter crosses the graduation stage. Harsh truth, and I know it's hard to hear. But it's the truth all the same.

A new low for program with a 14-11 loss to LIU, a third-year D1 program in the first game of the Long Island Cup tournament. LIU certainly has talent, but this is an unacceptable defeat and I would say replaces an 11-8 loss to Marist in 2015 as our most embarrassing in recent memory.

The way this program has been run into the ground is a disgrace. How the administration has let this go is baffling. Another 4th quarter meltdown that we have seen time and again from Tierney's teams. Can't watch it any more -

How this program has sunk so low is a disgrace. Another 4th quarter meltdown which we have seen time and again from Tierney's teams. Really can't watch it anymore.

This once proud program is complete toast. They are consistently bad, have been for years to the point where nobody even cares about it anymore. There is no arguing it and its painfully obvious to everyone what and who the reason for it is. Still nothing changes.

The program has become a complete joke. We really need to start a committee to Save Hofstra Lacrosse. The administration really is indifferent its up to us.

The lacrosse team will have more wins than the football team this year

Yes but the football is already guaranteed less losses than the lacrosse team.

I believe, by virtue of modus tollens, that is correct. I'm having flashbacks to 10th grade

The steady decline of this once proud program is appalling. Been saying this for years.

So SBU beats LIU10-6 who we lost to, WE beat St Johns 11-6.
again are we a decent team or is St Johns that bad?

St. John's has been bad for awhile and is amazing Jason Miller still has a job there. He did decent when he first took over in 2007 and they reached Big East finals in 2012, but since then have not made the conference tourney and haven't had winning season since 2013. Terrible facilities in a solid conference certainly makes it challenging for them no doubt.

Watched a game at St Johns once. Never going back. It was a night game and the lights were shinning directly in our eyes and we could not see the field.
