I didn't realize it but Nelson had 46 blocks playing 21 minutes playing in 35 games. Very similar to Graham sophomore year at Elon.

I think it's hard to say we're better when we don't have a single player on the roster who's ever averaged 10 pts or 3 ast in a season before, and the only guy who's ever averaged over 5 reb did so 2 yrs ago.
But on paper we're certainly deeper, younger, and full of intriguing potential. And it's also the most local team I can remember in a good while, maybe some of that NY grit and toughness from the Knicks rubs off on them

Exactly - like everyone else a lot of unknowns.
But - I think, as previously stated, "on paper" we look OK.

Absolutely right Stu - We'll get enough pre-season hype from the athletic department and don't need to add to it.

Spoke with Speedy at the HOF dinner. He is VERY pleased with his new group. He had just come from a meeting with the team and he said all of them are REALLY EXCITED to be at Hofstra and they're ready to work.
