2016 CAA Tournament Score Prediction Contest
2016 CAA Tournament Score Prediction Contest
I hope a few people will come to this topic every day of the tournament to predict all 9 games. You can make predictions for every round before the tournament starts, but a prediction only counts if you had both teams in the game correct. You can change predictions as often as you want until a game starts. Even if the games start later than announced, predictions must be made by the announced start times of Friday at 6:00 and 8:30; Saturday at 12:00, 2:30, 6:00, and 8:30; Sunday at 1:00 and 3:30; and Monday at 7:00. Here is how I will evaluate predictions:
100 - 3* points you were off on the margin - points you were off on the total score
If Hofstra wins 80-75, and you predicted them to win 79-70, you would be 4 points off on the margin and 6 points off on the total scores, giving your prediction 82 points.
I predict:
Elon 74, Drexel 69 (Elon beat Drexel by 5 in both games so far)
College of Charleston 67, Delaware 56
Hofstra vs. To Be Determined
James Madison 73, William & Mary 72 (each team beat the other by 6)
UNC Wilmington vs. To Be Determined
Northeastern 73, Towson 71

Re: 2016 CAA Tournament Score Prediction Contest
I think I won last year, so I will join in again. If you wanted to do a straight tournament projection the JMU board has a decent size group playing along. They dont have scores and dont do round by round like this one, though.

Re: 2016 CAA Tournament Score Prediction Contest
I saw what the JMU board has. You did win last year, albeit with only three people predicting every game. You got 574, I got 554, and dutchiedoright got 410. Since I'm going to the CAA Tournament and I don't want to forget, I'm going to make two predictions for Hofstra's Quarterfinal:dan10 wrote: I think I won last year, so I will join in again. Anybody who doesn't want to make predictions during the tournament could hypothetically made predictions in advance for every possible matchup.

I'm surprised that you didn't post that you got the correct score for UNC Wilmington vs. Northeastern.HofstraMathew wrote: Prediction;

HofstraMathew leads me by 12 points. Since he posted first, I could have made the same prediction to guarantee that I win (unless we make bad predictions and dan10 does much better), but I'm not going to do that. If HofstraMathew or I gets the exact score of the Final, the other one of us will get 82 points, so HofstraMathew can win by up to 6 points. If there is a tie, the winner will be whoever made the best prediction for the Final.

Darn, dug a hole too deep to overcome. Good job Evan
Re: 2016 CAA Tournament Score Prediction Contest
Might have been this score exactly, if Green made two of the three layups he missed in the second half, or if he just made one and Tanksley didn't miss his second-half layup.HofstraMathew wrote:Prediction;

Or only one off if the half court three pointer at the end went in.Wags wrote:Might have been this score exactly, if Green made two of the three layups he missed in the second half, or if he just made one and Tanksley didn't miss his second-half layup.HofstraMathew wrote:Prediction;

Green deserved that one to go in for the season he had. Imagine winning the title that way? Would have been incredible. Oh well.HofstraMathew wrote:Or only one off if the half court three pointer at the end went in.Wags wrote:Might have been this score exactly, if Green made two of the three layups he missed in the second half, or if he just made one and Tanksley didn't miss his second-half layup.HofstraMathew wrote:Prediction;
