I noticed that Hofstra is hosting four different sporting events today, including three in the evening:
3 p.m. - Field hockey
7 p.m. - Women's soccer, volleyball and men's lacrosse
That's a lot activity for one day, especially one that is a religious holiday for some athletes and fans.

This with a president of the university who is Jewish. I am sure they will say they could not schedule the games on Thursday or Saturday night which would not conflict with Yom Kippur.

I get that it's a religious day, but to the same point, softball has played on Easter many times.

Point taken. Those days should be off days so players can spend time with family.
