Here comes the run... knew it was coming... lead down to 47-43.

But Rok ends it with a bucket inside. Ties Green with a team-high 13. Walker leads all with 14... 49-43.

The 3s have predictably cooled off... 0-4 since the 8-14 in the first half (which included banking one in).

http://bulletin.hofstra.edu/preview_pro ... urnto=6844 lists the requirements for a Rhetorical Studies major. In January 2014, the department changed from Speech Communications and Rhetorical Studies (SPCM) to Rhetoric (RHET).

The teams had only 4 fouls each in the first half.

What an awful start to the second half. We have more turnovers (6) than points (5), scoring drought of over 3 minutes, and only 2-11 from the field. That's why our 10 point lead was cut to 2, 49-47.

NU tied it at 49-all on a 14-2 run. NU really picked up its intensity defensively.

But HU weathered the storm. Buckets on 4 straight trips from Koon on a jump hook, 2 two baskets from Green and one more from Gustys to go up 57-49. <8 to go.

Rhetoric? So future politicians will be enrolling at Hofstra then?

Hofstra holding a 41-17 (!) edge on the boards and only leads by 6.

Now up 8! Green to Gustys, 3:38 left.

Someone needs to tell Blaine it's not THE Rok or THE Rock. Just Rok.

19 & 16 for him. Forget double-double, he's slowly turning into a 20/20 guy. And incredibly efficient. 8/10 fg, was 9/10 last time in that 25 & 20 game.

HUGE mid-range J from Bernardi, since HU was inbounding off a time out with 2:03 left and only 6 on the shot clock. But he nails it to make it 65-58.

NU's next trip, a 3... so without that Bernardi shot, it gets real dicey at only 63-61.

Up 4, gotta close this out.

NU with the last 7 pts to tie with :17.1 left.

HU time out, chance to win it. I think quick PnR with Green & Gustys, if not there, look for Bernardi or Koon on the perimeter.

Gustys ball screen for Green, who got it up on the rim and JUST barely off. So frustrating! Going to OT.

Since Saturday, I was at The Mack JMU-Hofstra in OT, was at MSG for PHI at the Knicks in 2OT on Monday, was at MSG for Utah at Knicks in OT, and now watching Hofstra at Northeastern in OT on SNY tonight. Can't take this! lol

Koon 11, Northeastern 9 in overtime.

That's why I said maybe kick to Koon on that last play of regulation. He just seemed ready tonight. But didn't see THIS coming in OT!

With the huge rebounding advantage we have, the game shouldn't be this close. But thanks to turnovers and not defending the 3, it is.

The 9-2 block differential is bad as well. It's interesting how we can kill a team on the boards (which would imply big man superiority) and then get blocked 5x more.

School record number of 3's for Northeastern, with still a chance for more in 3 OT

What a game. I'd be delighted if we can end this one with a win.

Great win in the hockey arena. Reminds me of an old Islanders vs Bruins game.

Woo-hoo! I'm a wreck but what a huge win. I'm sure everyone will talk about some of the issues at some point, but let's just enjoy a HUGE road victory!
