I thought Vandy might be a bit overrated but SBU looked darn good. They did turn it over some, but otherwise they looked tough and talented.
It will only turn-up the importance of that game for us.

Didn't they beat a ranked team before our game last year? How did that turn out for them? No need to worry about SBU yet. HUGE opportunity today.

We beat them with a buzzer beater at our place and you say no need to worry. If we dont play defense they will eat us for lunch.

win by 1, win by 100 - we beat them. All i am saying is they had a GREAT non conference win last year and we still completed with them. and beat them.

I was pulling for them actually, would've been a nice feather for the SOS for both of us

Good game, but it wasn't a great one - SBU will of course be a tough game because they have experienced talent, just like HU - they finally have 3 legit scoring options with the addition of Ahmad Walker - Purifoy can shoot and hit from DEEP, and of course stud big man Warney

but there are weaknesses there that I believe HU can exploit - if they shut down one of Purifoy or Walker, that's a huge hit to their O - they have no depth of real concern - Warney will do his thing, but he will be facing some better play in the post than last yr

they're a good club, and this should be their yr as well to make the dance, but I think this is a game where HU should try to run them out of the gym - don't want a defensive low scoring battle, as I think that favors SBU - I'm looking for HU to put up a lot of points as I think they can outscore them

HUSID80 I still think the same. SBU is a solid squad who can give us fits. If we play like we did against FSU we should win. If we come out flat it could be a long evening.

They lose to Western Kentucky 67-66. We actually need them to win so when we beat them it will be good for our RPI. BTW- Canisus is doing well and is now 2-1. They might be better than people give them credit for. This is good for us.
