I certainly hope and believe that JC is going to average a lot more then 6 points a game but he seems reluctant to shoot and just a bit overwhelmed at this point.

When he was a freshmen in 2005-2006, we had many freshmen who didn't play much. Greg Johnson, Arminas Urbutis, Mike Davis-Sabb, and Chris Gadley were also freshmen. Loren Stokes, Antoine Agudio, Carlos Rivera, Aurimas Kieza, and Adrian Uter started. After both forwards graduated, we started four guards including Sestokas. He averaged 6.8 and shot threes .444. As a junior he dropped to 2.1 points in 9.7 minutes, and shot threes .257. As a senior he averaged 5.0 points and shot threes .389. He had only 5 turnovers in 392 minutes, but I'm guessing he had a lot of times where he shot a three without moving much or thinking about passing. For his career he averaged 4.0 points in 15.8 minutes and shot threes .372.

The best thing about freshmen is they turn into juniors and seniors
All true but JC was hyped out of control especially with the 90 point scoring games in High School. That set the bar high otherwise the level of disappointment would not be all that great.
These definitely were fun to see but it was against completely inferior competition so was really meaningless. We all would love a player to come in and start right away and be a star but it just doesn't happen. Let him develop. I am sure EvanJ has this on the tip of his tongue but when did we even have a player start as a freshman when our team wasn't just in a rebuild.

Robinson was in a rebuilding year; he didn't even really play after that.

Probably does go back to Agudio, Rivera and Stokes as freshman which Agudio got hurt and then redshirted.

This was the worst kind of win before going to Towson. It made them think they could beat Towson without playing defense, without guarding the perimeter, especially.

They should know from their own track record, sometimes they'll score like they did at JMU, sometimes they'll struggle offensively, so their D must be a constant.
