Congrats to our ladies who beat delaware 45-42 in this mud run of a game. Now onto the CAA finals vs JMU who had thweir own battle with Elon today. Each team has won a game this year so this rubber match should be interesting. Both teams won by 3 points today.

Game is at 1, and will be on SNY. I fully expect a slug fest, since it'll be both team's 3rd game in a row. Hopefully there are a decent amount of HU fans there, but at least our team proved that JMU fans don't scare them, since they were the only team to win in Harrisonburg this season.

Hofstra is down 41-40 with 9:48 left and a power outage. CAA Player of the Year Precious Hall shot field goals 0-10 in the first half and 1-17 so far.

Elo Edeferioka and Krystal Luciano were both named to the all-tournament team.
Per the Hofstra Pride twitter account, the WNIT teams are being released at 8:30 tonight, and the bracket at 11:30. Drexel is already in with an automatic bid.

Congratulations to Coach Krista Kilburn-Steveskey, her staff and the team on a tremendous season. Next year we want to see BOTH of our basketball teams playing in the CAA championship games,

PoP you need to finish first in your conference to get an auto bid. Drexel finished second. JMU finished first. I can see the CAA getting 2 bids in the WNIT. Hofstra has the edge over Elon with a quality win over JMU.

The WNIT gives an auto bid to every conference no matter what happens in the conference tournament, and 32 at large bids, so since Drexel came in second, they get the auto bid. The WNIT website already shows them as getting the auto bid. http://www.womensnit.com/current-field.html

Hofstra and Elon receive at large bids, so 3 CAA teams are represented in the WNIT! We will learn our fate later tonight.

Thats a home game for Penn. PoP apologies I forgot that the WNIT has different selection process than the NIT. Still a good showing for the CAA getting four teams in the post season.

Actually, the CAA got 5 teams in the post season, which is awesome. W&M accepted a WBI bid. That means that both mens and women's basketball each have 5 teams, or half the conference in post season play, which isn't too shabby for a mid-major conference! Three teams are sending both teams to post season, us, JMU, and W&M.
