He is the real deal according to the coaching staff. He is the projected starter at the five for the next four years is what I hear...wish he was 6-9!

Maybe my eyes aren't as good as they used to be but in pre-game I saw him standing next to Schutte on more then one occasion and I couldn't tell the difference in height.

IDK but this guy is big and muscular. People have compared his stature to Devonte Cacock. He's listed as a center but his size might be conducive for him playing the 4. Whatever position he plays he's going to be tough in the paint and lord knows we need rebounders remember the NC State game while its still fresh in your mind!

He replied to someone asking him if he is not coming back (because the highlights were titled "final season") with "pretty much". He's moving on, unfortunately.

Thanks for the link. Considering how little he played, I can't blame him. The site is inconsistent about the seasons it uses. It calls him a sophomore, which he was this season. It calls Dainan Swoope, who was at Elon, a junior, when this was an injury season between being a junior and senior. For Justin Pierce and Matt Milon, it calls them graduates, which is what they will be next season.

Both really unexpected, although they both could graduate (Gresham will for sure) and play for a high major immediately. I doubt Occeus gets a medical redshirt for this year but not impossible.

Two of the top projected best teams next year taking big hits so far.

I read that the medical redshirt limit is 30 percent, which would be 10.2. Occeus played 15. Furthermore, he played at the end of the season. If a player played in over 30 percent but all of his games were in the Fall, maybe the Spring could count towards a transfer redshirt letting him play for a new team the next Spring.

Next year:

A] Pemberton must be fixed

B] Kante must be a double double machine

C] Buie needs to get scoring average up to 14-15-16 PPG...he has tools to do it

D] TC must improve his ball handling and become more consistent at both ends of court

E] Trueheart must embrace the 4 position and improve his defense, rebounding, and scoring down low

F] Ray must improve on his 39% shooting and also show that he can drive to the hoop effectively...

G] Hughes must continue to get stronger and gain experience playing at this level...would be great if he is a true sleeper for us

Obviously newcomers will also have an impact on next season...will be very interesting to see who they bring in

For 2020-21
Silverio - steps right into these 7 and is a nice replacement to the graduation of Pemeberton
Buie - getting Burgess is key - we are going to desperately need a PG to replace Buie in 2020-21. A HS PG comes in this year sits behind Buie gets some PT and learns...knowing he comes in and runs the show with TC, OS, ST, IK and JR is not a bad situation
