Going to try to get there either this Friday or next. Rooney is a treat to watch, and he's their Friday pitcher.

Hofstra just beat Northeastern 6-4. The huskies came into this game with an RPI of 27, #1 in the CAA, and riding the nation’s longest win streak!

Hofstra lost 2 out of 3 and had their RPI fall 6 spots to 121st.

Tomorrow's (Friday) game has been made a double header starting at noon. They'll try to get the single game in Saturday, but the weekend looks like crap.

The split with JMU today paired with Towson's loss to Elon means that Hofstra has officially clinched a spot in the CAA tournament! Ironically, it is at JMU, and there's a good chance that JMU won't even be in it.

Lost to Charleston 10-3, playing now (7pm) in an elimination game vs. Delaware.

We lost to Delaware 3-1 to finish 23-23. It was our first season at .500 or better since we were 34-22 in 2012. It was our third .500 or better season in the 17 years we are in the CAA.

Does anyone know why 2018 pitching coach John Habayan is not listed as an assistant on the GoHofstra website?

I believe his contract expired in the summer of 2018. Will talk to John Russo and find out for sure

That would be a huge loss for the program if he is not brought back.

John has an opportunity Togo into the pros and develope pitchers . I believe he is looking at several offers. Coach Russo is interviewing several candidates and should have a new pitching coach in place hopefully by the end of next week.

Why? He's looking to advance his career, just as every good coach wants to do.

Disappointing for OUR program. He developed several outstanding pitchers at Hofstra, two drafted last year...we have NEVER had that kind of pitching.

Husid did you really think we would keep an ex major leaguer while paying if an assistant head coach salary at a mid major level John told me it was a matter of time before John would leave
