Would be GREAT to get some fan birds eye view...
I imagine some may make a special trip just to see the champ game on Tuesday, so curious about that too - it's not an easy trip nor is it an easy time of the week to go, but hopefully someone(s) from this board will be there to give us all the account!
FYI, when HU makes the tourney in any season now and in the future, I will be making a real concerted effort to be in attendance, wherever and whenever it may be. Been thinking about it a lot, and considering how few times it can happen at a mid major, times like that need to be treated with priority - looking forward to having to figure out the logistics!

Pains me not to be there for the tournament this year, Charleston is a major upgrade over Baltimore for a vacation weekend.
I may be crazy enough to hop in my car and drive down there if we make it to the finals.

Flying Dutch, this week is on me.. Sucks that I couldn't go.. LOVE going to the tournament. Now that it is in Charleston pains me to not be there. One of the nicest cities I have ever been. Roll Damn Pride this weekend into next

FD, was thinking the same thing about the finals if they make it.. Polito, I am with you on the NCAA's.. If and whenever they make it, I am there. Pretty sure Cactus will be too..
Re: Anyone in Charleston for the Tourney?
I am going to try and make if/when we get to the finals. I know Ken Rood is planning the same.
Would not want to miss that moment as I have been on site for ALL FOUR previously Conference Championships and NCAA berths.

It's really a shame the CAA couldn't find a more central site for the playoffs. Southern bias, anyone?

It’s all about the money. Southern teams have better attendance so they will draw better for the CAA tourney

It'll be interesting to see if Hofstra sends any students down this year. If I'm remembering correctly, they did not send any spirit support teams last year.

Was very close to going to Asheville for the weekend then renting a 1 way car to Charleston for the games. Glad I didn't go now.

You would think so, except the attendance hasn't justified the move to Charleston from Baltimore.stuball888 wrote:It’s all about the money. Southern teams have better attendance so they will draw better for the CAA tourney
Minor increases (even with Charleston reaching the title game as a 2 seed last year and being the 1 seed this year) don't seem to justify the drastic geographic shift toward one team, away from a far more centrally located venue for all teams in the conference.
If the CAA nor Royal Farms were happy with the 2016 numbers, I don't think the CAA nor the North Charleston Coliseum could be that much happier with the numbers since:
2015 in Baltimore:
Session 1 - 2,552
Session 2 - 3,762
Session 3 - 3,016
Subtotal - 9,330
Session 4 - 3,703
Session 5 - 5,721
Grand Total - 18,754
-------------------------------------
2016 in Baltimore:
Session 1 - 2,170
Session 2 - 3,904
Session 3 - 3,450
Subtotal - 9,524
Session 4 - 3,643
Session 5 - 3,031
Grand Total - 16,198
-------------------------------------
2017 in North Charleston:
Session 1 - 1,889
Session 2 - 4,096
Session 3 - 4,212
Subtotal - 10,197
Session 4 - 4,708
Session 5 - 6,342
Grand Total - 21,247
-------------------------------------
2018 in North Charleston:
Session 1 - 2,659
Session 2 - 4,672
Session 3 - 2,566
Total - 9,897
