It is a winnable game...for Drexel

In all seriousness I think this will be a toss up game and will be determined by defensive stops. Neither of us play good defense so our offenses will have ample opportunities to score. It will come down to who can make stops IMO. I think this will be a high scoring affair with a drexel win by about 2

We will have to shoot better than towson. They will win the rebounding battle and have more shots at the hoop than us.

The team practiced in the Palestra this morning. I assume JAM got to visit with his son.

Great podcast with Speedy! My personal favorite part was about bowling, Speedy likes it enough that he put a bowling alley in his house, said it like it's no big deal and a normal thing.

Hofstra is starting Powers, Wright-Foreman, Pemberton, Gustys, and Bernardi.

Drexel is starting Kurk Lee (guard), Kari Jonsson (guard), Sammy Mojica (guard), Mohamed Bah (forward), and Rodney Williams (forward).

Drexel is basically putting on a clinic against us. We're shooting less than 24%, they're shooting 50%.
Once again, zero evidence of any game plan, besides chucking up 3's, not making them (1-9 so far), and not getting the rebound.

Oh boy, Eli went down and straight to the locker room, no pressure on his (right?) foot. Hope he's okay.

And of course this is not the Saturday game after a Thursday game. This is after having four days off to prepare.

Couldn't have had a worse half. Pathetic effort and Pemberton hurt. This season is on life support right now

Seriously who hires these refs? Not at all blaming them for our performance, they're pretty equally terrible for both teams. 14 fouls called, 7 on each time, less than 10 minutes into the second half, 33 total called so far. It's hard to get into any sort of flow, on offense or defense, when there are constant whistles.

Tough one. Down 13 at the half, forced OT, but Lee hits a 3 with :21 left, and Hofstra misses 4 shots (a layup by JWF, two tips by Greer and a 3 by Bernardi) in the last :06.

Lose, 81-80.

JWF: 30 pts for a 3rd time this year, and for a second game in a row.

However, he went 0/4 from 3 and 4/9 at the line... Hofstra: 3/25 from 3 and 15/28 at the line (Drexel not much better at the line: 14/23).

Don't know what to call this group of guys, they certainly are not a team. Absolutely awful tonight. If we only win 4 games this conference season I will not be surprised.

DP plays like he does not care if we win or lose. Gets four fouls with about 8 minutes left and then fouls out with 7 minutes left. He knows EP is already out, he knows we have a short bench, then he fouls out. He looked and played like this was the last place he wanted to be tonight.

JM was weird tonight. Most of the first half he said almost nothing. No yelling at refs, no screaming at players, most of the time he stood there with his arms folded. Something is really going on with this team. Either JM is frustrated, some of the players are frustrated, likely its both.

If EP is out for the season JWF will finish the season as the CAA top scorer. He just has to work on his FTs. Oh, I forgot, this is HU, everybody has to work on their FTs.

It was the first time since at least 2005-2006 that Hofstra attempted at least 76 field goals and at least 28 free throws.
