Hu87 all very valid points particularly the lack of a returning go to guy. However in the new landscape how many teams particularly in the ravaged CAA, have such a player? This is all about creating a new team and the coaching required to make it happen. I kind of like the talent assembled and the c...

Very valid points. A big fish in a little pond perhaps. 1st team all state is a bigger pond. In 3 sports a much bigger sample. Maybe a special kid with a special attitude. Let’s see what he can do at the next level. Good players have come out of Long Island see Preston Edmead and the kid who finishe...

Have you seen the bio for Michael Cascione? What an amazing resume! All State in 3 sports basketball football and baseball. I think we all can agree that in today's era of specialization that this is nothing short of incredible. I wonder if he will try baseball as well at Hofstra. If basketball is h...

Hi Stu
No good for me on either night. Have a great time!

If The Head coach is changed, no doubt there will be a search committee and a pool of potential candidates.
If and when it will be a very important and potentially program saving hire.

Dare I say he looks faster than Preston?
Impressive video!

So once again it will be a real dogfight for the guards for playing time. Speedy's way for the most part seems to be you are in the inner circle or you are not. Survival of the fittest! Or maybe this is the year he won't bury truly good players on the bench. I remember George Mason used to have 2 wa...

Is another year of Biggie Patterson a possibility?

I believe we were looking at the Aussie a year ago.
Staff knows him for a while.

Is Wills definitely returning to Hofstra?

I remember him from Drexel. Thought he was pretty darn good. Maybe Dan 10 the Drexel poster will give us his opinion.

So the entire conference has been decimated. Cannot blame Cruz for taking a very big payday. He has no choice. Speedy and the whole league get to play general managers with a huge free agent pool. No rules for everybody. Overwhelming but fun challenge to draft and train a new team. The job is a bit ...

Zman the Spartans top 8 are probably well compensated. if you lose anybody it would be for playing time at another school. I think the numbers are off the charts because nobody knows what the options next year might look like. By the way, if Edmead is recognizing his lack of bulk, he can do some gym...

For many of our players the portal is worth a look to see if there is some interest out there. Not sure that leaving means you dislike the program. You want to see if there may be a better situation for you. For example, now that Edmead may leave, Wills might be more inclined to come back. Would not...

If you are a freshman in college and Michigan offers you 500k to come play for them this might be your best payday as a basketball player. You get paid even if you tear up your knee and never fully recover. Basketball is his passion and if somebody can pay him big time dollars even his current coach...

I am wondering if entering the portal is always leaving the team. Of course if he is blown away with the dollars and gets to play in a packed stadium, why not? If Hofstra came up with a semi competitive offer might he stay? What I liked most about Edmead is he played with no fear. You cannot teach t...

He showed that he can play. Has one more year to get genuine playing time.
Good luck to him.

UNCW picked off a bunch of CAA players last year as did College of Charleston.
Never say never. Close to home for JRT and Tejada.

Thanks Stu all for the invite.
Living and working in NYC prevents me from participating. Sorry to miss out and hope it is successful!

Great to hear that Aranguren was there too.
Wonder if GW can earn a bid as well.
