Next clue: 2 active nba players and 32 nba alum from this school This looks like confirmation of the Arizona State game. Correct, and this makes it official: https://x.com/HofstraMBB/status/2090832779277734154 Also, Flo partnering with Prime for CAA Sports: https://caasports.com/news/2026/8/20/gene...

Okayyyyyy, really dig this hire - the downside is he is brand new to coaching, and there will undoubtedly be a real learning curve to develop an approach, to know how to connect and convey messages, etc.), but this is definitely someone who has real potential in coaching if he so chooses. And he's ...

Great to see but are they ever going to do anything for the 2020 team? They did a documentary for 2020 team also that was released in early 2021. I admittedly never watched since was to depressed about what happened with NCAA tourney being cancelled but at some point I will check it out. https://yo...

Great to see but are they ever going to do anything for the 2020 team?

Not sure about the seed #, but didnt Columbia get to the sweet 16 one year - and as we know, we are playing them this season (per D1 docket). In addition, I would imagine that a 15 seed could have been a reasonable seed for them. If not, I would go with Princeton since we have recent history with t...

Let's hope it goes way better than the last time (a 76-48 drubbing in Nov. 2022)... also, how is that already almost four years ago?! Where does the time go?!

The CAA schedule is set:

https://x.com/HofstraMBB/status/2077770507210957240

From a very good source: "While it is probably too early to tell, it is not likely that the CAA will split into separate divisions for MBB or WBB."

Hate more growth, but was inevitable after they added the awful programs before and were sitting at 13. Not a bad add from a conf perspective. This if fine for the conference... But for HU all this does is make it a 14 team 1 bid league. And since every friggin team makes the CAAT, it's all just go...

It's official now, with Fairfield accepting the invitation:

https://x.com/CAASports/status/2070617324827132129

Adding Fairfield could split the CAA split the league into even, seven-team North and South divisions, to possibly affect scheduling, travel, and even seeding. North: Northeastern, Fairfield, Hofstra, Stony Brook, Monmouth, Drexel, Towson South: William & Mary, Hampton, UNCW, Elon, NC A&T, C...

Big news here. Looks like CAA is close to adding Fairfield as a full-time member. https://x.com/i/status/2069211686037328222 They recently built a new arena, not super big but supposed to be one of the nicer mid major gyms around. Theyre ok in basketball, shouldnt drag the conference down too much,...

https://x.com/sny_knicks/status/2066017780168642677 The cohesiveness and good habits that the Nova Knicks developed under Jay went to another level for that group under Brown and spread to their other Knicks teammates. Without that, the Knicks don't win their third championship this year. Jay had a...

I'm surprised it even took this long for the uniform patch. Been saying for years, wait until NBA and college jerseys are like soccer, with the sponsor showing with a large logo or in large letters, prominently on the front and the team name or logo shown as a very small patch by the shoulder (the N...

Wasn't sure where to place this. It didn't seem to deserve a new thread, but figured this was a good spot with all of the the other transfer portal and NIL absurdities we've discussed. And although it's football, it could be a landmark decision with ramifications for college hoops as well: Texas Tec...

Stars aligning? Hofstra went through the 6, 7, and 4 seeds in the 2026 CAA tournament to return to the NCAA tournament for the first time in 25 years. The Knicks may go through the 6, 7, and 4 seeds in the 2026 NBA playoffs to return to the NBA Finals for the first time in 27 years. Lets hope so it...
