Re: 2026 Transfer Portal

Someone said this last year; once the season ends, every player is in the portal. I don’t know why it even has to be announced at this point. Obviously it seems like everyone is gone, but I’m still holding out hope we can keep the band together for one more season, being a winner still has to mean s...

Re: Selection Sunday viewing party

If you wanted to get tickets to the game in Tampa, you had to place a down payment for tickets in ‘27 and you needed confirmation of a $100 pride club donation.

Definitely have to strike while the iron is hot, I expect further publicity for season tickets.

Re: NCAA Tournament Thread

The reality is it’s the best matchup we could ask for in a 4/13 game. We don’t want to run with Alabama which is a big advantage for us. Alabama also is not overly big, does not generate many turnovers and relies on the 3 even more than us. We just have to play our game, stay out of the track meet. ...

Re: Selection Sunday viewing party

Great event, strong crowd and a lot of excitement! I'm not a big photo guy, but I couldn't resist taking one with the championship trophy. Coaches and players were walking around conversing, great vibes. During the selection show, the video feed on the big screen cut from the program to our room aft...

Re: NCAA Tournament Thread

I think we are looking good for a 13 seed. Liberty lost last night. Miami went down today, as long as Akron does not win the MAC we will have a higher seed than their champion. 12 is probably out of reach, but the way these conference tournaments are shaking out, we might be one of the top 50 teams ...

As long as they tighten up the camera angle.

Hope they do something though, would love to attend.

Re: Jean Aranguren

Respect to Jean for showing up to the tournament games. Obviously it worked out for us, Edmead has been the truth, but I would have loved to see Aranguren stay. I think he would have benefitted from another year at Hofstra, but you just cannot fault someone for taking more NIL money, especially if i...

Re: MBB Game 34 vs. Monmouth, March 10 (Tue) 7 PM

Emotionally drained in the best way possible after last night and tonight. So proud of the players and coaches. The team found it's way after the 5 game losing streak and played some excellent defense the past month to snag the double-bye and put themselves in championship contention. The tournament...

Re: MBB Game 21 @William & Mary, Jan 24 (Sat) 12 PM - NEW TIME

It's always helpful to have a strong bench if it goes that way, but the idea that "NO team" or that at least Hofstra "can't win" a CAA tournament without a real bench is a fallacy that's already been proven twice. So, I'm not sure why we continue to perpetuate that myth year aft...

Re: MBB Game 21 @William & Mary, Jan 24 (Sat) 12 PM - NEW TIME

I mean it’s a lost year, decent chance our next win is Feb 19th, or later, or next year. Cruz has played all but one minute since the Columbia game, we’re running him into the ground for what reason. Nothing this staff does with their personnel makes sense to me, I would imagine the players feel sim...

Re: MBB Game 19 Elon, Jan 17 (Sat) 12 PM

If Monte wasn’t still puttering around at A&T we would have the worst coaching in the league. We are so passive offensively for such large portions of the game. We completely embarrassed ourselves out in SB, another questionable performance today. Elon stinks defensively and we don’t attack or g...
