My guess is because it's a TWC production.

Re: MBB - LaSalle

We need to start setting the freshman loose, I think they're both picking it up pretty fast, Buie a little ahead of JWF right now, but I think both have the potential to play big minutes for us this year. That should help late fatigue, and hopefully Djambo can come back and pick up 15-20 mins in the...

Re: MBB - LaSalle

44-31 DUTCH at half. La Salle's been sloppy, and we've capitalized. "Hoop" Desure off the bench with 7, JWF with 4, playing like a freshman, but the skill is no doubt there. La Salle is giving us great looks from the field, we just have to bury them in the second and get the hell out of Ph...

Re: Basketball RPI

CAA looking pretty solid with another 2-0 night, 10th in the Conference RPI. Hopefully with a strong December, the conference stays in the top-ten, which would set the conference up perfectly for an at-large. Then it becomes on the individual schools to deliver in conference play to secure the secon...

Re: MBB - LaSalle

This is a real 50-50 game. La Salle's been shooting the ball well, but not playing much defense, this has shootout written all over it. Size wise, we're nearly identical, maybe a bit bigger actually, and neither team utilizes their bench, we're 347th in bench minutes, La Salle 350th. Kind of concern...

Re: App St @MSG on Sunday

Just went to the garden website and saw tickets from $36 to $160. Who would pay $160 to watch St Johns vs St Francis/ Hofstra/App St?? MSG is out of their minds, which is not surprising since they scheduled this against Giants Jets. I'll be shocked if the place is half full. They need to revamp the...

Re: St. Bonaventure Game Preview

This was a really nice win, I think the stress of the last few minutes has clouded how good a performance we put up in the second half. I just re-watched the first half, and not to be cliche', but the ball really didn't bounce our way early, it was almost uncanny. Then the four-point play, another f...

Re: Paradise Jam 2015

Can anyone tell me when we actually had a deep bench. This is the norm for Hofstra. When you need grad assts to fill for practice something is wrong. I really appreciate that the coaching staff is only filling the roster with players they believe can contribute on our level, if we have to play with...

Such a quintessential Hofstra finish, found a way to lose. Bad loss to a bad team.

Re: Paradise Jam 2015

Tired legs and Green in foul trouble really hurt us in the first half. We're falling in love with the 3 ball too much as this tournament goes on. We just have to get to the hoop aggressively and we will get quality shots on the perimeter. The high of the Florida State win will be smushed by this los...

Re: Paradise Jam 2015

Hey everyone! I wanted to stop by and apologize for doing it in the middle of the game against Indiana State. I wanted to tell y'all that you have a special team. The shooting is unreal and will lead to some upsets if it continues to stay that way! I'm pulling for the Pride this season and came awa...

Re: Paradise Jam 2015

Florida State's freshman swingman, Duane Bacon has been lighting it up so far, and he was a top-15 prospect. He's going to be a lot of trouble. HU87, I think you're right on with going in that 1-3-1 zone to try to force more perimeter shots, we cannot play these guys in man to man. Also we've had su...

Re: Basketball tickets - Hofstra vs Stony Brook

Thanks for the update, I was meaning to ask the ticket office yesterday!! Strange SBU will not give individual tickets for the game, perhaps there is a possibility for a sellout, wanted to get them in advance just in case.

Re: Game 2 - Molloy

96-64 Final. Overall, similar performance to Friday. We blew so many easy shots and free throws in the first half, the score was a bit misleading, but we also had Buie and Wright-Foreman playing most of the half. Progressively wore Molloy down in the second, made our shots, distributed the ball incr...

Re: MBB Game 1 - Canisius

We beat a non-pushover team by double digits opening night, even with spotting them an 18pt lead. I'm not complaining, and I saw a lot more positives than negatives at the game last night. Yes, there is a problem with our transition defense. We struggled getting back after missed shots, especially e...

Re: St. John's

grain of salt, just a scrimmage, but goodness that def doesn't sound good lol Agreed. Kind of reminds me of the '92 Dream Team where Chuck Daly orchestrated a loss during a scrimmage against the USA college team to make the point that you can lose to anybody. Mullin was on that team of course. 32 p...
