Also, they announced that Hofstra signed another HS pitcher today, from Illinois. That brings the signing total for 2019-2020 to 8. With only 2 seniors graduating, and assuming nobody else leaves, that would give them a 25 player roster next season.

It's a 5 team tournament, Evan. So first step is beating the 5 seed, then facing JMU, then playing through the loser's bracket (but none of those teams will have played JMU).

They have a pitcher coming from southern California, an area they haven't normally touched. But quality pitchers are picked up early in the process. You can't expect to just grab two and expect much success. I'm sure those two haven't thrown this many innings, and I'm sure that's taking a toll.

Moving to the MAAC accomplishes nothing- if you want to play those local teams, just schedule them in the early part of the season.
