Re: Game 20 at College of Charleston: 1/20/2018 at 4:00 P.M.

I'm not even upset with the team's performance in the 2nd half. How can a team win when they have 28 personal fouls called against them??? One phantom call after another. There was 1 possession where Gustys literally let the guy drive to the basket untouched and they still called the foul on him. Wh...

Re: Thursday night Delaware

As many have pointed out, the PG spot is the key to the season. I was feeling good after the Stony Brook game about Buie. He played fantastic in that game but then fell off again.. until last night. If we can consistently get even half of last night's production from him, then this team is on it's w...

Re: Game 18 at Drexel

Thought there were stretches where they played their best basketball of the season yesterday. Especially offensively, good ball movement, good shot selection and they made a concerted effort to get the ball down low to Rok. They need to do that more, mix things up, make opponents honor the post defe...

Re: Game 17 at Towson

Looks like we are becoming one of SportCenter's favorite teams with a 3rd appearance this season:

Re: Game 17 at Towson

Although I might not be a true fan, I am thinking about making the trek to Drexel as its about an hour from the house. Anyone going down? Last time I went to Drexel, Carlos Rivera had like a 19 point play. The last time I went to Drexel, their students were giving Rick Apodaca a very hard time.. Bu...

Re: Game 17 at Towson

they win these games on individual talent alone. joe doesn't even call plays during the time outs he just yells at the refs Stop with Joe...the refs deserved to be yelled at...he brought the players in and runs the program that won the game...ENOUGH ALREADY! they're the most talented team in the co...

Re: Game 17 at Towson

I never miss an opportunity to knock the refs. They sucked big time. Seemed like they had $$ on Towson.. Between the officiating and our poor play I was wondering to myself why I bother staying with these games. And then the last few minutes happens. Just wow. What a performance by JWF. He is quickl...

Re: Game 14 vs Northeastern

Glad they won, I'll take any conference win on the road, so the team should be happy. But they were lucky to win last night. Hate to say it, but its the truth. NE missed a TON of open shots. If they just hit 1 or 2 of those, they win. And while our opponents almost always work the ball until they ge...

Re: Game 11 - Manhattan (at Adelphi)

I sat court side for this game and IMO we win this game at the Mack. We struggled all night shooting the ball, had at least 5 shots rim out. This might happen a few times every game, but it just felt like it happened too often last night. Bottom line is Manhattan wanted this game more than us. They ...

Re: Monmouth/Rider

You know it's a win for the ages when ESPN is forced to make a Hofstra highlight its #1 play for their Top 10.. What can I say, the team played some really bad basketball for a long stretch, but I love teams that show heart and never quit. They battled all the way back. The crazy thing was that afte...

Re: Team is Improved, but Still a Very Disappointing Weekend

Haven’t joined the party on the boards this season until now, but here are my 2 cents. I’ve watched all 5 games so far and all things considered, I like this team. Of course we have some question marks, but I’ve seen enough to confirm we can compete for a CAA title this year. I'm ok with what happen...

Re: MBB Trip to Canada

I was able to catch the 4th quarter today. 88-76 was the final. Radovic looks like a player and JWF is in mid season form. He is the type of talent that can take a team to the tournament all by himself. If we don't win the CAA in either of his last 2 seasons, I give up! Overall, the Montreal trip lo...

Re: MBB 2017-18 non conference schedule released

I think this is the best OOC schedule under Mihalich so far. The only negative is the home slate at the Mack where we only get 3 games, 2 of which are real snoozers (I like the Army game as the season opener). The Manhattan game at Adephi is bizarre and should have been avoided, but at least it'll b...

Re: MBB Recruits 2018

I'm pleased with the way roster has unfolded for this season but as others have mentioned, we will need bigs for 2018.
Here are some names of who we have offered in the last few days:

6’10 Joe Hedstrom
6’ 7 Sy Chatman
6’ 7 RJ Howard
6’ 8 Jared Kimbrough

Re: MBB recruits 2017

Another high character guy.. 6' 5 guard who plays defense. I like where Joe is going with the Coburn and Wormley pickups. Perimeter defense should be much improved and we won't be undersized in the back court for the next few years.

Re: MBB recruits 2017

He scored 20+ pts several times last season including 22 and 24 pts in semifinal and championship game..

Couldn't find anything on offers which makes me a little skeptical about this recruit but I'll admit he looks talented on videos so hopefully they found something here.
