Re: Message to fans: Show some excitement!

This enthusiasm from tonight NEEDS to roll over into Tuesday! The energy certainly kept our guys from getting embarrassed, even brought us within 3! Was an exciting and fun game! Keep it up guys!

Polite already said it, and everyone else is more than welcome to join in on repeating this, but before you head on the train,

WEAR SOME YELLOW! DON'T FORGET! A HOFSTRA SHIRT IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH, LET'S SHOW WHERE HOFSTRA IS AND HOW LOUD WE CAN GET!

YELLOW! YELLOW! YELLOW!

Re: Message to fans: Show some excitement!

Loved hearing the news of the Stony Brook free tickets this morning! Now that is really encouraging fans to send INVITES! And the pep rally also really got me excited to see some movement from the U! 3 radio major radio station interviews from Mihalich in a day? Awesome! Now it's our turn to keep th...

Re: Message to fans: Show some excitement!

Would also love to add this, just occurred to me as I was driving, had to pull over in a parking lot toads this from my phone! If you're a season ticket holder and you ever have a ticket extra or two, INVITE SOMEONE! Cousin, uncle, step brother, sister, colleague, your boss, your dentist. Anybody th...

Re: Message to fans: Show some excitement!

I would like to thank EVERYONE for all of your enthusiasm on here! It is really exciting and encouragement! To address a few things: 'Hofstra': I am right with you. I too miss the "In Guards We Trust" and mostly the "If you can't see, STAND!" shirts. That was the epitome of the f...

Message to fans: Show some excitement!

Assuming many of you read my halftime post in the St. Bonaventure thread. If you didn't I will summarize my points. This post is for emphasis of my previous points and to present some new ones. The fact is, the crowd at the Mack is lame. We all know the St. Bonaventure fans were obnoxious. the most ...

Re: Game 10 - St. Bonaventure 12/6 @7pm at the Mack

These Bonnie fans are the most obnoxious that I've ever seen...That being said, I give them much credit and encourage their cheers. They actually are excited for their team and show it. The bring students and power the Mack. Unfortunately this proves how pathetic our fans can be. Every game our fans...

Re: Game 9 vs. Florida Atlantic on December 3, 2016 at 7:00

Random thing I noticed, Speedy spoke on WRHU right at the end of the game. It seemed like he's starting to sound a lot more like a coach, definitely starting to acquire a coaching style. I noticed this too. Over the couple of years of him working with/on the coaching staff, I have definitely notice...

Stony Brook vs Northeastern

So, I found myself on the Stony Brook campus for a variety of reasons. As I was there I checked their basketball schedule and noticed they were playing Northeastern today at 6pm. Decided I'd drop by, only $12 a ticket, and catch the first half and listen the the Hofstra game on the way back home and...

Re: Game 7 - Medaille

Before anyone thinks we turned the corner, look at these results. Coppin State who we beat by 2 at home is losing to Div2 Chestnut Hill 40-33 in the second half. Manhattan who beat us by 12 was down 60-27 to #25 West Virginia. now down 79-39. Not worried. Don't forget our beloved team last year did...

Re: Hofstra vs Villanova - 12/22/17 (Nassau Coliseum)

Joe Mihalich Jr. (Mihalich's son) will be getting his shots at Jay Wright tonight. He's an Assistant Coach at Penn who will be facing Villanova tonight at The Palestra.

Re: Game 7 - Medaille

Can't read too much into this game, but what I can say about this game is that it was a good opportunity for the guys to get the practice that they needed. A scrimmage of some sorts. They knew they were going to win, no pressures of losing, but still put a win in the book after the nice South Dakota...

Re: Game 5 -Vermont

Just going to put it out there that it's sad to hear this much negativity. Yes the start of the season has not been what we have wanted. There has been MANY flaws. We all know the defense is not the best and we all know the shooting could and probably should be better, but give the kids a chance. (A...

Re: Game 5 -Vermont

Loved the way we started out the second. Played some defense and chipped away at the lead. Lots of tipped passes. Second we stopped playing defense, deficit went back up. It's a shame we had to dig ourselves into this hole. Also, do our announcers do the same as this announcer? One guy that repeated...

Re: Game 5 -Vermont

Would love if the Vermont coaches could give us some pointers on defense. From the start they were obnoxiously all over our player with perfectly executed double teams and hands in between every pass.

Re: Game 4 - Bradley

Would also just love to point out how great JWF shot has improved. Not just the amount he has contributed, but his style of shooting just looks so smooth. These past games I have been very confident overtime he takes the ball to shoot. Seems much more natural compared to last year. Of course, last y...

Re: Hofstra vs Villanova - 12/22/17 (Nassau Coliseum)

I was quite disappointed when the supposed game against Kentucky was moved to the Barclays due to the coliseum not being opened in time, but now this is just AMAZING! Going to be a very meaningful game. Basically a home game, at what I can expect to be a beautiful new coliseum against a legendary co...

Re: Game 4 - Bradley

This is the confidence booster this team needed. Not a great game by any means, but an exciting finish with a lot to take from it. Have a feeling the loss to Sacred Heart was very demoralizing, and it showed in the Manhattan game. To be honest, I could care less about who we win/lose to. An at large...

Re: Game 3 - Manhattan

After last game I was not worried, nor ready for negative talk. Yes, was embarrassing and unacceptable to lose, but felt the team at the core showed promise. Today, I did not even feel close to that way. Listened to the first half in the car and was frustrated listening to the fouls and travels. Sou...
