Re: NCAA 2024 MBB Transfer Portal
Wonder if Hofstra will have any interest in Drissa Traore from St John's? Solid size - 6'8 220 forward, believe he has 2 yrs eligibility left. He barely played for them but was only guy besides Soriano Pitino kept. By all accounts great leader and work ethic. From Harlem, was a 3-star out of LuHi

Re: NCAA 2024 MBB Transfer Portal
Look at this absurd list of schools that have reportedly reached out to Amari Williams. Hard to expect anyone of his, Dubar, Jyare Davis, Estrada, Timberlake, etc caliber to stay when these types of teams come calling https://twitter.com/AdamZagoria/status/1770600956230557959?t=YadGqW8ryfITtiO8HCksr...

Re: NCAA 2024 MBB Transfer Portal
Jyare Davis just hit the portal. Amari Williams already gone too. And then add in guys like McKinnon, Kyrese Mullen from Hampton, and Trey Moss from w&m went in today too. It's nearly impossible to expect a conference like the CAA to keep any of its most talented players anymore when $$$ is invo...

Re: NCAA 2024 MBB Transfer Portal
Dubar leaving sadly had to be expected. But if Dubar lands at St. John's that would still be a gut punch...

Re: Next Year's Team
So with Dubar now officially gone I guess the big question left is Wilmoth? Seems like we're gonna need 2-3 IMPACT transfers to have any shot at competing next season.... Starting 5: PG - Carlos (Nothing can ever be shocking in this current climate but Carlos leaving would still be really disappoint...

Re: NCAAT 2024 Thread
Funny you guys bring up Wagner... actually went to their NEC semifinal game at CCSU last weekend (that's my neck of the woods). Team only has 7 active players in uniform due to injuries, not exactly talent jumping off the page watching them, but they found a way. Their coach about as lively on the s...

Re: Next Year's Team
Some kids have already announced that they are entering the Portal. Williams from Drexel has already announced. Yup, and 3 W&M and 3 Hampton players. But it'll all start being official in three days. W&M and Hampton have made coaching changes as well, so would expect tremendous turnover on ...

Re: CAAT Monday, March 11 - Semifinals
So because I'm a glutton for punishment I went back through the box scores of Hofstras recent CAA tourney failures today, and this is what stands out to me: - '24 Stony: Thomas takes 27 of 57 shots (Dubar 6). Outrebounded by 12. - '23 Uncw: Estrada takes 20 of 58 shots (Dubar 6). Outrebounded by 12....

Re: CAAT Monday, March 11 - Semifinals
. Also, the outcome could have been different if they didn't blow three easy layups all alone in the first half. The focus was just not there tonight, which is really puzzling with so much at stake. This 100%. The game was essentially over a minute in - Maidoh bullies Fritz for 2 and German blows a...

Re: CAAT Monday, March 11 - Semifinals
3 years in a row this team has failed MISERABLY in the tournament. That's all that matters. And that's Speedys coaching legacy right now

Re: CAAT Monday, March 11 - Semifinals
Thomas is back in but they have not moved off of the watch Thomas show. Might be the worst game they've played all year and that's saying a lot. Still they are up 2 with under 7 mins remaining Hard not to be Tyler show with way Dubar and all the role players are playing It's been a struggle for dub...

Re: CAAT Monday, March 11 - Semifinals
Horrendous half. Lucky to not be down worse. Stony is the tougher team and wants it more right now. They'll win if that doesn't change.
Dubar needs more touches too

Re: CAAT Monday, March 11 - Semifinals
Towson got the rock fight they needed. This looks poised to go down to the wire Yup, Charleston is beatable if you force them to play that style. But they are also good at knowing how to win that way too. This is going to the end. Towson needs to keep getting paint points. It's their life raft in t...

Re: CAAT Monday, March 11 - Semifinals
This is exactly why I picked them as the top dark horse in the tournament, because they showed they could compete with the leagues' best, even if they didn't always win. That and Colin Curtin also called it (after Hofstra's home win over Northeastern): https://www.midmajormadness.com/2024/3/7/24092...
