Re: Media Thread

Also nice to hear some praise for Jamal Robinson, a guy who came in relatively 'unheralded' (decent in hs on a very good team, but not a lot of hype around him) had a very strong freshman year, and has the ability to be a big factor if he continues to progress I like his potential if he continues th...

Re: MBB OOC Schedule 14-15

this sched is built for 2 things: get the program back into the Win column ready the team for the CAA tourney This team/staff wants to win the CAA, period. That's the feeling I get from every angle. Would I be disappointed with the CIT/CBI? Yes, a bit - but honestly at this point, just want to see H...

Re: MBB recruits 2015

Yeah, it's been tough to find updates on his status, plans, etc. No idea how the visit even went (or any other visit for that matter) I do know UT landed a major 4* SG in Chris Clarke, so that could very well play a factor as from what I can tell the Vols were a top contender for Carter... may still...

Re: 2015 Pride Mens Lacrosse

Agreed, scrimmages look strong, esp like seeing 'Cuse as one Although I'd like more balance, I do get the use for local teams on the sched - just seems like a lot considering they add absolutely ZERO help to SOS (and forget it if they drop to any of them) - granted I also understand not every oppone...

Re: Media Thread

Joe is FIRED UP man lol 8-) LOVING this press, but the time to PROVE it on the court is fast approaching - we'll see how hard this team has worked shortly... I'm VERY curious to hear any feedback from the 'secret' scrimmages, esp against St Joes - I know it's more of a testing ground, and not all be...

Re: Jay Hernandez documentary

thanks for the great find - REALLY hoping to see this guy on staff coaching HU ball one day in some capacity - could really see him and Speedy being a tremendous 1-2 punch in the future - maybe that IS the future once JAM has fulfilled his goals and dreams here... Imagine Speedy HC and Jay H Assista...

Re: Media Thread

good stuff SID, really appreciate the insight! Agreed, in the hunt all the way this yr - not saying anything is a lock till the get on the court and prove against real comp - but the excitement is building! And here's the one thing HU now has that they've NEVER had in the CAA, and rarely ever had in...

Re: MBB recruits 2015

as for recruiting, with the 2 'ships left, I think HU should bide their time and utilize the projected success of this season - if it turns out as hoped, that could provide a major boost and help them to land 2 absolute studs, Wing and PF would be desired IMO - if it's an NCAA yr they could have a r...

Re: Kareem Huggins

for some reason, I'm still holding on to the hope that HU Football will return one day post-Rab you know what would be totally amazing and perfect world to me? HU basketball blows up, and helps HU land in a major-level conf, which then opens the door yrs from now for HU to do football the BIG way an...

Re: MBB recruits 2015

SU couldn't give a rip about this article or any other team in NY, they are 'Cuse lol - a legit national title contender EVERY yr however, every other NY team prob won't enjoy it as much as we do, and that's A-Ok by me! This article is AWESOME! Love it and yes, we all know HU still has to prove it a...

That article is freakin A W E S O M E ! !

And right on the money IMO - the sleeping giant is poised and ready - with the right commitment, the kind we are just now staring to see, just scratching the surface, this program can be special

Re: MBB recruits 2015

right, and IMO if they go after anything besides Carter, should go for a SG/SF/Wing (6'5-6'7) and a long strong PF (6'8-6'9) the post I can't seem to track down, driving me crazy lol - SO curious to know what the plan is and who they're targeting... I've seen a few minor rumblings, will post what I ...

Re: practice facility completed

don't mean to squash you bobe13, but you are totally off base on this one can't over promote the value of that practice facility - trust me, it's making a MAJOR impact. Coaches have said so, media has said so, RECRUITS have said so. This staff has now landed 4 3* kids IN A ROW, not to mention the qu...

Re: Media Thread

that was EXCELLENT - I really love this guy - He's changing the face of this program and has the ability to take HU ball to heights never before experienced - don't mean to put that kind of expectation on him year 2, but there's just something about him that screams program-changer straight-forward,...

Re: MBB recruits 2015

WOW, ask and you shall receive!!! AWESOME news!! Talented TRUE PG, consensus 3*, top 10 player in NYC (the 2nd one with J W-F), plays on a great team with AND against TOP competition, and a fantastic 'get' as far as building those local relationships and connections - ton of talent comes out of the ...

Re: 2015 Pride Mens Lacrosse

fair point, can't expect (and don't need) to play top 10 team every week - HOWEVER that's no excuse for a weak OOC - yes, the CAA is fairly strong so that helps - but get some top programs on the calendar, and get some top home games - been done before, can and should be done again LaxPhan, you prob...

exactly - major props to HU all around, the admin, the athletic folks, everyone - it's deserved the football axing was bogus BS, no question - and I still don't agree with it and have hopes for it's return one day post-Rab HOWEVER, it cannot be denied that HU as a whole has shown fantastic commitmen...

Re: CAA Media Day

love that PoP, talent AND depth - that's been the one thing missing over the last 10+ years - HU has traditionally had solid starters, but the depth was major drop-off - not anymore baby, and that will be THE difference on the court deep in CAA season
