Well he isn't going to come in and play point guard. So if he gets any minutes at all it will be at the SG position.ZMAN3 wrote:You guys are kidding yourself if you think JWF is going to play any 2 (with tiny PG's) and if he does our bad defense will only be worse! Probably smallest backcourt in America!

Re: MBB recruits 2016
I don't think, and don't want , BB playing entire games anymore - he needs help - and people can fight me on this all they want, but he lost it the 2nd half of the yr and I contend it's because the season wore on him - not saying he was tired, just worn - he was a total liability for most of the 2n...

Re: MBB recruits 2016
as of now our roster is fairly balanced - assuming no one transfers or gets unexpectedly stuck in their homeland PG - Buie, Powers SG - Bernardi, JFW SF - Robinson, Pemberton PF - Green, Sabaty C - Gustys, Walker wonder if they'd ever RS Walker - as Robinson did after his So year - as of now, along...

Re: MBB @ George Washington 3/14 8PM
Don't see where personal attacks are necessary because someone disagrees on the personnel. I like Buie but he must improve his shot and decision making because Gustys scoring depends on it. As for JWF I'm completely not sold - love his athleticism - question his position. We have 2 PG's so he's a 2...

Re: Kory Holden Transferring!
They still have some, and they p,ay a stingy style, so I'd say around 5th next yr seems fair at this point - but this is a major hit - and one I don't understand yet - he was slated to be THE guy on an up and coming team - plenty of PT for him next yr - Holden at the UD mess I get, this one seems i...

Or only one off if the half court three pointer at the end went in.Wags wrote:Might have been this score exactly, if Green made two of the three layups he missed in the second half, or if he just made one and Tanksley didn't miss his second-half layup.HofstraMathew wrote:Prediction;

Re: THE CHAMPIONSHIP!
I echo your thoughts however w have only 9 players on next years roster. Djambo will not be here next year. So unless we add a few graduate student trans or JuCOs we will be in the same hole as this year. Their are still 4 scholarships to be handed out and it seems most likely 1 or 2 will be going ...

Re: MBB recruits 2016
While the season is not over it is unlikely we will receive an invitation to the Big Dance...however I see no reason why we can not be a strong contender next season...the staff has raised the bar and instead of rebuilding for next season we are in a position to reload....I already like the project...

Gutty, awesome win for Hofstra!! And for all the naysayers here in December, January even in early February... we're IN TH FINALS! For what it is worth most people who have been hesitant picking hofstra to win the whole thing due to your depth had you guys making the final. Many believed the first ...

Re: We Can Clinch The Regular Season Title Before Our Last G
Do we need UNCW to lose on Saturday to get the 1 seed? No. We can win the tiebreaker if Towson or William and Mary finish ahead of JMU. There is also another scenario with Northeastern finishing ahead of Charleston that gives us the tiebreaker. These are assuming Towson holds on to this win tonight...

Re: We Can Clinch The Regular Season Title Before Our Last G
Do you know all the tiebreaker scenarios if Hofstra was to win tomorrow vs UNCW and Hofstra and UNCW both win/lose their last game? Usually the conference puts out a list of the scenarios but it's probably pending the Hofstra/UNCW game. Its best record verse the third place team, then the fourth pl...

Re: Houston, We Have a Problem
Like I have said in the past, I have given up on the students. The university is wasting time and money trying to get these spoiled brats to come out to games. I say invest it into the communities of nassau county. last game we had over 1,900 show and maybe there were what 30 students who showed up...

Re: Men's Basketball OOC Opponents' Topic
need FSU to finish strong? why? We are not getting an at large EVER. we can go undefeated rest of the way, win the CAA Outright and lose in 3 OT in the CAA Final to UNCW and still not get an at-large. We need to win in Baltimore, otherwise it's NIT assuming we finish strong. The resume still counts...

Re: Men's Basketbal Best RPI Away Win Ever
Didn't we beat GMU when they were in the top 30? What was the Bonnies' RPI when we played them? George mason finished the 2006 season at 15 in the RPI. We beat them at home and in the CAA tournament. So not sure if that is an away win or not. FYI it looks like we finished that season at 30 in the R...
