Plotnikov not signed with a pro team? Hofstra, in theory, has one slot left.

New lawsuits may enable players out of eligibility to play another year…Sunday? Plotnikov?

So, I asked Gemini…AI…who the surprise upside transfer will be next season. The answer was Elijah Gelin. He’s one to watch.

Lopes hasn’t played in two years.

I would move Jefferson and Gelin into the rotation.

Speedy can sign one more. Saving the last slot for late June or early July or is he done?

Gelin looks good from the video. Can shoot the three.

Added to roster Elijah Gelin, 6-6 guard, wing from Cerritto CC Calif., 11.1 pts per game, 3.1 rebounds per game Michael Cascione, 6-2 guard Smithtown West HS, Long Island, All Suffolk selection, 24 pts per game Anthony Stennett, guard, Portledge School, Long Island, 13.1 pts per game Sent from my iP...

A source in the athletic department says Speedy has completed his roster for next season. That*s all I have.

What happened to the rest of Speedy’s roster? Anyone hear anything? Speedy hiring a new coach to replace Parrotta?

What’s going on with Hofstra? No news in weeks.

Shane Doyle moving up to floor coach?

Hey, having three fairly athletic seven footers is unprecedented for Hofstra and a good thing. Our guards are very solid. Add a wing and this team is a top three in the conference next year.

Kid looks good. A Speedy hidden gem? The question is, does he get buried on the bench on a Speedy team that uses only 8 or so in the rotation?

On paper, Speedy has already put together a high quality backcourt for next year. Jaeden Roberts would have been in a dogfight for playing time.

Assuming we have six slots to fill…does Speedy save two for Silas and Biggie? First off, they have to want to stay another year. I assume Speedy will be having that conversation with them. Second, does the NCAA make the proposed, new five-in-five rule retroactive, which seems likely, to avoid litig...

Hmmm,…IF we get Silas for another year, we’d have three seven-footers on the roster. That would be a Hofstra record right there.

Strangely enough, new eligibility rules coming down the pike in the near future would, I believe, allow Silas Sunday and Biggie Patterson one more year of eligibility. There is a possibility the could be back at Hofstra if they decide the want one more year of college play. Any thoughts? Sent from m...

There were three Hofstra players in the portal….Edmead, Cruz and Amir Williams, as far as I can tell.

This is strange, but I’ve checked a number of times and have been told that Jaeden Roberts has not, so far, entered the current transfer portal. I see your note from him, but he may have been merely thanking Speedy for the great year. I could be wrong. I often am, but I may be right. Bet you five bu...
