If a spot opened on Jay Wrights staff he would pluck Speedy in a second...experience or no experience

Be interesting to see how long Speedy will be content being an assistant coach at Hofstra...he probably has aspirations of moving up the coaching ladder

Speaking of the potential transfer anyone have some names of who may still be available to us??

I have not heard any more about who is leaving...anyone else?? It has got to be either Gonzales, Walker, or Robinson....If one of these 3 hope it is Robinson....Rokas is our only true post up player...Djambo once in a while and same goes for Koon...both these guys are on the thin side...wish we had ...

Coach could not comment at this time on how last scholarship became available which leads me to believe someone is leaving. If someone was at Hofstra on academic aid he would be able to comment

Hopefully staff has worked hard at developing Djambo and Walker since they have been on campus....same said in regards to Gustys...I can see Gustys averaging 10 or 11 points per game as a sophmore...

Workin on JAM to find out where last scholarship is coming from...is someone on academic scholarship or is someone leavin us?? Stay tuned

I agree with you guys and believe Walker could become an important player with playing time...unfortunately I do not see him in the rotation next season...hopefully what he learns his 1st two seasons leads to bigger & better things his JR & SR years

Thanks for sharing the HC article POP...I had never seen that particular article...Boy...based on that article the team did not come close to fulfilling Speedy's expectations last season....this season all returnees are really going to have to raise their level of play for Hofstra to be a potential ...

Unless Sabety is getting a ride on an academic scholly or grant...probably not the case though

Rokas will have someone to bang with in practice now

Certainly has the size & bulk and appears to move well for guy his size...let's see what he can do against taller, stronger, more athletic players at D-I level...like HUSID80 said it is tough to evaluate him based on competition he faced....he has a year and a half to prepare for D-I...hopefully...

I do not think so....each year the transfer market becomes more attractive....we will have 5 seniors leaving us so as long as they bring in at least 3 freshman I am ok with what they are doing
