Jon Cooper and the Lightning knock of the Rangers in game 7 at MSG to win the Eastern Conference, and they're officially going to the Stanley Cup Finals.

Six (plus) years later, here we are again with his Lightning in the Stanley Cup Final. At the expense of his former next-door neighbors, of course, but good luck to Coach Cooper!

They won the series 4-2. What are other coaching accomplishments by alumni for any pro or college team not at Hofstra?
