here is video on Nichols. I'd take him in a heartbeat. No secret that the staff can find talent - tough part is getting them to sign!

Seymour is good too. 6'8" 3-pt shooter. good inside moves too.

I'm not up on recruits as much as most of you, but has anyone mentioned LJ Owens? Haven't seen anything on him, but looks like we offered at some point.

As I've often said, never been an issue with the talent level JM & Co. have offered / gone after - they know talent, no doubt about it.

The real key now is they must LAND the key much needed talent, and do so earlier than they've been trending.

I know it's tough - brutal really - but that's the D1 recruiting life for a mid major - plenty of others do it, so it can be done. HU needs to show marked improvement in this area for the '18 class.

I'm pleased with the way roster has unfolded for this season but as others have mentioned, we will need bigs for 2018.
Here are some names of who we have offered in the last few days:

6’10 Joe Hedstrom
6’ 7 Sy Chatman
6’ 7 RJ Howard
6’ 8 Jared Kimbrough

Definitely need to focus on the 4 and 5 position for the 2018 recruiting class. I would think probably 2 forwards and 1 guard that redshirts would be the ideal class and leave 1 scholarship open for a late transfer.

Wow - the last few weeks have really changed the recruiting outlook for 2018. We had thought that we were losing 6 forwards or bigs, but now we only have 3 leaving (Rok, Hunter, Joel Angus). Of course we still have AW spot open, but we could potentially fill that prior to bringing in the 2018 class.

So in the 4/5 slot for 2018 we have Radovic (3/4), Truehart, and Schutte. We still will need some beef up front, but we certainly are in better shape in the front court than we were a month ago.

Schutte looks like he could be OK in time. Seems to run well, moves OK, has a nose for the ball, decent hands, and good height. If he works hard this redshirt year, hits the gym and puts on 15 pounds, he certainly could contribute his first playing year. It will be interesting to see if he develops into a player.

Try and check out David Nzekwesi's video. He has been offered by HU and is from the Netherlands but goes to school in Texas. 6"9" and 235. On his twitter account there is some video. He reminds me of Patrick Ewing...he has an inside and outside game. maybe he is a friend of Schutte also from the Netherlands. Get this guy!!!

Nzekwesi's great, I think he will end up getting major offers, but he would be a steal for us.

That being said, I don't think we really need big, bruising F/C's like Rok and Sabety anymore. I rather the coaching staff focus on wiry forwards that can hit the 3 and defend the perimeter. That's where the CAA is going, look at a team like Elon; Dawkins and Seibring TORCHED us last year, they shot us out of the zone, and we didn't have players who could match up in man.

I would agree Flying Dutchmen. We need 6-8 types who are athletic, can run the floor, can go to the basket, hit short jumpers and defend...sign us up for two of 'em...please!

I'm 50% on that.

There is still a need and a place for a monster in the middle - yes, he still needs to move well, but a 6'9 240-250lb toughy is absolutely still a valuable piece in the college game, and in the CAA.

I know Rok had a rough year, but imagine HU without Rok and Hunter? Nah, no thanks. they are both beasts but yet both can move. That is important.

No, they are not going to step out and hit long jumpers or 3's, and I fully agree there is a huge need for that type of center too, but you can't have a bunch of tall thin guys that get elbow checked into the stands all the time - CofC will be one of the top teams in the conf again, and they are built on that kind of toughness.

Still think HU needs one too, especially to follow Rok and Hunter. A big big and an athletic one with range are great compliments that allow for flexibility based on opponent.

I see over the lat 3 days we have offered 3 centers 6-9", 6-10", and 6-11". Looks like a bunch of Euro kids. I wonder if this is a result of Colin's euro coaching or maybe some of Rok's contacts, or maybe both.

You'd certainly think, and hope, that CC would have a impact on recruiting outside the US. His overseas success alone should open some Euro eyes to where CC is associated with in the US.

I know Joe was over in Europe about a week or so ago...so that's probably the reason.
