IDK what 1st half scoring looking like but Green I believe hit 2/3 three's playing with some confidence. Cramer grabbing boards and had some put backs. Yeah Coburn and Ray had some points and a TON of fouls picked up by Monmouth. IDK if any of their important players are in foul trouble.

Both teams' largest lead is 6. The statistics don't display how many lead changes and ties there were. Counting the first basket of the game, teams have taken the lead 11 times (including trailing to winning or tied to winning), and there were 4 ties. The announcers say Monmouth has three players who are unavailable. From 14:13 left to 0:52 left, we scored 44 in 13:21. A third of the game is 13:20, so that pace would be a tiny bit under 132 in a game.

Coburn and Ray have 14 each. Kante has 3 turnovers, 2 of which were offensive fouls. He played 9 minutes, and his only positive contributions were 1 rebound and 1 block. He didn't shoot. Schutte played 11 minutes. He had 4 points and led all players with 7 rebounds. Green scored 6 by shooting 2-3 with all of his attempts being threes. Burgess shot 2-2 and scored 4, Cramer shot 2-3 and scored 4, and Silverio shot 0-1 and got fouled in the act of shooting a three and made all the free throws. We shot free throws 12-15, and Monmouth shot 2-2.

Don't think I've seen so many offensive fouls lol - sloppy play has continued, BUT I am straight giddy about Ray - having a nice game, welcome to the season young man.

He just needs to not bring the ball up, as I've said, not the guy for that. But having him score is a game changer for this team.

Their three point shooting is keeping them close but our D sucks.

We lead 66-63 with 11:51 left. Schutte has 6 points and 10 rebounds, but he has 4 fouls. Kante scored 2, so everyone except Masic scored. Ray leads us with 3 assists; Coburn, Burgess, and Masic have 2; and Schutte has 1.

The D has been really poor no doubt, but the TO's on offense have been equally as bad - much of MU's opps have come from HU mistakes. Of course credit to them for their D as well helping to cause that.

But man, this wake up game for Ray is HUGE - I want to see him take this over and win it.

Can't wait for the Jaquan Carlos era to arrive. That job is his as soon as he walks in the door. Hopefully he's the real deal and as advertised

Ray tied his career-high with 27, and most of us didn't see him score 27 at UCLA because the game was on Pac-12 Networks with no legal way to watch online if you don't get Pac-12 Networks on TV. Coburn has 23. Green and Schutte are tied for third with 6. One of the announcers said that Monmouth was shooting threes 13-21 (.619) while down 4. Coburn gave us our largest lead at 75-68.

New career-high for Ray (29 pts) on 9/14 fg, 4/5 from 3, 7/7 ft

Reminiscent of his game at UCLA last year.

We really need another ball handler in this game very evident here!

Another? That would imply we already have at least 1 other currently. That would be incorrect.

Did they get these refs from a cancelled youth league game?

I'm not watching it, listening, so can't comment on the D specifically but the sloppiness by HU and the terrible TO's seems to be the even bigger issue. They are literally keeping them in this game by constantly giving the ball back to them.

Turnovers: Hofstra 24, Monmouth 10

Terrible disparity there. They're very lucky that Points Off Turnovers are only 22-16, Monmouth.

The ball handling has been a problem but how many were phantom offensive fouls?
