Nassau county executive, Bruce Blakeman is asking president Poser of Hofstra university to resign

Read the article. The statement was rather benign in my view. Blakeman would love to throw shade at Poser over the Coliseum deal.

Looks like it has to do with comments from Poser regarding the Israel-Hamas war.

I agree with mikey - Poser merely stated a simple fact while hoping what most would hope for, that there could ever be peace in the region: she said the entire conflict, starting with Hamas' terrible attack, Israel's response, and everything taking place in relation to the conflict is causing death in Israel and Gaza. That's not really something she should be fired for. She didn't overtly say anywhere that she supports Hamas, yet that's how Blakeman is making it sound. If, as mikey says, Blakeman may be using this to call for Poser's job because he holds grudge over the Coliseum deal, his request for Poser's resignation is completely disingenuous and is even an abuse of his own power.

I also agree off topic may be more appropriate. Bottom line is Blakeman is a clown who is doing this because of being upset that Hofstra is threatening his grand casino plans with lawsuit that has thankfully proven successful so far. This has Sands written all over it because why bring it up now and not in mid-October when statement was first released? He is taking what she said completely out of context in desperate love to try and get it rid of her and I don’t see it going anywhere.

Amen to this! Is really mind boggling how Blakeman is trying to make a mountain out of a molehill with what she said and is sad that some outlets still ran with it. it underscores his animosity toward her because of fighting Sands project and am sure he will find other things to pick on her about going forward.

Blakeman's latest about Hofstra and/or Susan Poser. "Mediocrity and cowardice go hand in hand." Guy's a monumental asshole. I wonder if he'll mention all that mediocrity and cowardice to Stuart Rabinowitz when he's lobbying for a gaming commission license? Twenty years of that mediocrity and cowardice were on Rabinowitz' watch.
