Another great representative for the Pride on a national stage.
Coach Danowski is a great guy. When he was still at Hofstra, my alumni group used to run an annual Miniature Golf tournament. He would come down with his kids (they were still kids then) every year to support us (and win most of the awards!)
Hofstra Football. Undefeated since 2009!

Thought I was going to be disappointed with the schedule. Nope. Its challenging for the most part. Hope the team is up to it and can turn the program around from the last number of years.

Not bad at all - not too hard, not too weak, very winnable. This needs to be the year.

For those that don’t know
John Danowskis father Ed Danowski played for the NY Giants football team
He was their QB for that historic sneaker game against the Chicago Bears

Hey I'm trying here lol

I do have an odd level of hope this is the year they can actually do something. IMO, if they can't do anything this year, then ST will cement he's done. Nothing will happen to him of course because of all the things many of us have noted previously - but this is the year to me that ST can either right his ship or show it's unrecoverable at the bottom of the ocean. They have EVERY reason to win this season, and ZERO excuses to fail.

I am really really REALLY working hard to maintain positive vibes with this, so I'm going to stick with my guns and say HU turns in a solid year.

Nice, appreciate the heads up.

It is baffling to me though that any Lax is played in the middle of winter. I don't really understand this lol. This sport shouldn't start until March. I know this is just scrimmage work, but the season starts in snow weather too, I think it's unnecessary - I guess that's how the scheduling works, just odd to me!

I remember years ago we were playing Binghamton at home in February
There were a few inches of snow on the field
There was a scrum on the field and the ball popped loose and somehow landed in the snow
At that time the ball was white not the yellow it is today
for a while none of the players on the field could find the ball

As bad as playing baseball in the snow. The obsession with making every sport a year long ordeal is annoying. Seasons! Whatever happened to seasons?! It isn't fun anymore, it's kind of a nuisance. I'm not following every sport 12 months a year lol.

If the season were to start later, teams would either have to shorten the regular season or the NCAAT would have to end sometime in June, not on Memorial Day weekend. It's difficult to play midweek games.
