Great timing following up my fall recruiting question!

Love me the 6’6 wings – strong program, and nice to see HU dip into Philly again. Couple of solid mid major offers, seems to have come down between Buffalo and HU - nice win on the trail – doesn’t jump out as an immediate superstar, but have to believe he has the tools, and the upside as his coach noted.

Appreciate the scoop!

Also gets at least one alley oop bucket. Like kids that can play over the rim.

Looks like we got another one. I’m not finding much info on him.

You tube https://youtu.be/9hYYHlFDB4U?si=WIet1ng5Ta1-bgAS It looks like he shoots a two hand jump shot!! He's a lefty shooter.

So next season we lose Thomas, Washington, and Fritz. We have already added two high school signings. Assuming everyone else stays (12 scholarships), we only have one more (Ftitz's scholly) left to fill.

So we now have Paul Jones.
Those old enough to remember the song "Basketball Jones"

So if we have only one scholarship left who could possibly be the next Jenkins,JWF, Estrada or Thomas. Lately a lot of our best players have come from the portal. Could this be a team with no definitive stand out best player just a lot of good players scoring in the low double digit range. Food for thought!

Great to see this latest get as well, a nice 6'4 lefty guard from the NC hotbed sounds like another win! Nice handle, good court vision and passing, high point / high arc shot (tough to block), good enough range, nice use of the floater in the lane, willing rebounder in the paint. Long around the basket and uses that length well to finish. Not overally fast, flashy, above the rim, or super athletic to me, but adequate for his style of play. Appears eager and hungry, and seems to move with a purpose in mind.

That's two G/W adds with good size. Will be interesting to see how these develop in the system.

Going to need a solid big to round out. If another spot opens, a PG perhaps.

Just signed this 6'8 big boy https://twitter.com/jdecady23/status/17 ... 80/photo/1
Josh Decady
2024 | 6’8” Forward | Kimball Union Academy (NH) & Crown Basketball

Decady has added offers from George Mason, Chattanooga, North Carolina A&T, Northeastern, Hofstra, Robert Morris, Binghamton, Iona, Northern Illinois, & more in the past few weeks. He was listed as a potential stockriser last month after we saw him perform at a high level during the NEPSAC Showcase. Keep an eye on the Kimball Union Academy (NH) product as he;ll play his senior season in the Northeast.

Physical & aggressive athlete who plays with a relentless motor on both ends of the floor. Demonstrates soft hands, functional touch & developing footwork as a post or drop-down finisher. Continues to flash his ability to take slower bigs to the rim off the dribble which makes him a potential mismatch nightmare. A highly productive rebounder who plays with a high activity level & plenty of physicality on the glass. Still improving his timing & instincts as a rim protector, although his size and aggression make him an effective shotblocker. The fast-rising frontcourt prospect is another stockriser to look out for in the coming months.

He looks like a kid that can come in and play the 4 as we look to improve our rebounding one of our biggest weaknesses last year.

LOVE this get! This kid has dog in him, a true PF with high energy and assertive style, been awhile since we’ve had a real above the rim post guy that plays with authority.

Some excellent offers from St Bon, ODU, Mason, DePaul, Iona, UT Chatt, Northeastern, and many more. NYC roots, and from strong programs in Archbishop Molloy and now in NEPSAC with Kimball Union.

Athletic and aggressive, powerful rebounder and can be a dominant defender. Also has a decent shot and handle for a big who relishes around the basket. Salivating to have a stud that will put the ball down the net with a chip on his shoulder.

#2 in NH and top 20 in NE.

This is a fantastic win on the trail at a position of future need. Way to go staff!

After this latest commit we actually have no scholarships available for next year. I am sure at least a player or two will transfer out as that seems to be the way things work now. But definitely interesting that as of now don’t really have a scholarship to offer.

So now we pick up DeCady (who I think is a really good pickup). So I can't imagine that we would go into 2024/2025 with the roster already set and no scholarships left to give. I gotta think that either Speedy is expecting someone to leave after this season, or I think more likely, that one of the guys just signed will redshirt. I just can't imagine that we would'nt save a spot for a surprise transfer (in) or some other special circumstance.

What is interesting is that all 3 remaining scholarships were used to sign H.S. kids when all the talk is about the transfer portal even by Speedy. So I agree that there must be a feeling that someone is going to transfer out??
