So we beat Stony Brook today high score 5 to 2 Julia Aspel with a complete game
So, if memory serves me correct, we will advance to the winners bracket and play UNCW who has the number two seed gotta bye into this round
Remember, in order to be eliminated from the tournament you have to lose two games

We played well in this game and didn't make any errors. S.B. was lucky to get out of the 4th inning when we had the bases loaded and no outs but we couldn't hit the ball out of the infield. Apsel pitched really well in this game striking out 6 and giving up 8 hits. Her only negative was walking 3. I like the way we're playing and will be tough to beat if we continue to play like today. We will have to hope Apsel can continue to be competitive.

McKevitt stepped up big time, but truthfully, this is a game we should have lost in 7 innings we left 16 runners on base that’s not acceptable. This team can’t give away those type of opportunities McKevitt stepped up big time, but truthfully, this is a game we should have lost But a win is a win but a win.is a win. Anna Butler did not have it today, so Nikki Mullins stepped up big time and did the heavy lifting to keep us in the game Julia Aspel comes in to get the save pitching a clean ninth-inning

Was at this game and thank God we had a very loud loyal fan base here making a lot of noise. I was a bit surprised that Anna Butler started this game and pitched decently. She gave up a two run homerun on a bad changeup pitch but could have been out of the inning on the previously play that put a runner on first. Just a soft hit to the first basemen. Mullin came in the 2nd inning and pitched well herself the error in the 3rd inning cost us a few unearned runs. She gave up 2 unearned runs and pitched 6.2 and got the win. Of all people to hit a grand slam McKevitt goes yard. Love it we need to win this playing at home. Feels almost like destiny.

Talk about leaving runners on base this UNCW played 5 infielders against our left handed hitters at the top of the lineup both Collins and Manto with NOBODY PLAYING RIGHT FIELD. IDK if We knew this was going to happen but if we face them again we have to exploit this. Just a major gamble on their part. We're playing well without our best pitcher so I feel we can win this our offense is getting the hits to pull it out despite all the runners left on base. We're a VERY CONFIDENT TEAM RIGHT NOW!!

It's just one game but with the BEST PITCHING IN THE CAA THEY WALK 13 BATTERS TO OUR 0. Forget about what has happened during the regular season their starting pitcher couldn't throw 2 strikes in a row. Winstead walked 5 batters they were probably lucky we didn't blow them out with all the runners they put on base.

So we lead 5 innings of this game 1-0 on a Catanzarita huge Homerun but Towson able to plate two runs in the 6th inning on a couple of hits one an infield bunt and on an error we let them take the lead 2-1. That's how the game ended 2-1 a shame on a great pitching effort from Julia Apsel who was in control almost the entire game. We now play S.B. of all teams to move on to the championship game vs Towson tomorrow.

8-5 AFTER 3 INNINGS CLEARLY this won't be a pitchers duel as Pisapia already knocked out of this one and Mullin pitching in relief.

We did not get good pitching. But at least they found some offense this time. Now have to beat Towson twice tomorrow.

We beat S.B. 9-8. We go into the 7th inning up 9-5 and with two outs they hit a three run homerun off Julia Apsel who comes in to the game to get two outs. Wow it wasn't easy so now we play in the championship game against Towson. It's the first time we're playing in the championship game since 2018. GO Pride!!

First game at 12 against Towson. Second at 2:30 if we win. It's a TALL ORDER for us to win this doubleheader but very doable I just worry about how far we can stretch out Apsel who has pitched very well and who owned Towson in that 2-1 loss. I was at that game and Towson didn't square up much in that game. Soft contact the entire game and a real shame we didn't win it. Too many of our hitters looking to hit the ball out and as a result a lot of routine fly balls. I guess we start Apsel in this game as we don't want to have to come from behind. Mullin has given us innings and Butler has tried her best to be competitive but Pisapia hasn't really been that effective. Venturini where r you God knows we could really use your arm!
