Hofstra softball 2/18 Saturday vs Washington

After losing to #12 Washington 10-0 yesterday we lose 8-0 today. Venturini started and took the loss giving up 5 runs 4 earned in 4 2/3 innings. She gave up 8 hits had a strikeout and gave up 3 long balls. Julia Apsel came in to pitch the 5th and gave up 3 runs in 1 inning as we got mercy ruled again. We only had 2 hits and got 2 walks struck out 6X. Number 12 Washington appears to be a bit out of our league. They also beat Houston yesterday 6-3. Bats need to get cracking on this team.
