Grad student addition Alex Concannon from Johns Hopkins is awesome pickup. On paper we should be one of top teams in CAA.

Seems large. Perhaps a carry over from extended eligibility due to Covid. I suspect putting together a schedule at the moment is challenging and that we'll see more local schools on the non-conference schedule.

With NY Tech ending their Athletic programs Are rhere any player on the roster we could pick up I know their baseball team was very good last year

The stats on just how bad this program has been for a decade is tough to read. We already knew that of course, but sheez it's even worse in print.

I'll believe the 'special season' stuff when it actually occurs. Till then, this program has earned zero hype. Literally have to crawl their way out of irrelevancy - but that should be some serious motivation to come out and kick butt - really hope I get to see HU lax turn it around and get back to the success they should be having. I'm doubtful, but still hanging on to a level of hopeful knowing what kind of team they could have if they perform.

Is Hofstra playing lacrosse this year? Some schools have schedules up and start the season in two weeks. Any news on Hofstra lax?

According to Laxfan, HU at Syracuse on Saturday, March 20th at 1:00pm. Also, CAAT at HU Thursday, May 6th and Saturday, May 8th. Edit: Also on Laxfan, HU at Towson on Saturday, March 13th, Towson at HU on Saturday, March 3rd, and Delaware at HU on Saturday April 17th. There is a much different 2021 CAA schedule to limit travel.

Love that we are playing Cuse for first time since 2003 when we upset them 8-6. We have always scrimmaged them and would love to see them added to schedule regularly going forward if possible. If we could ever get Cuse to play at Shuart and weather were nice would easily attract at least 3K fans probably.

last game with Syracuse the 8-6 win was at Shuart. Played Syracuse in the NCAA's as well in an 18-13 loss at Shuart a few years before.

Yes in 2001 quarterfinals we were up 8-4 in second quarter before Cuse took over. Was amazing atmosphere with 10,500 fans.

Cobbled together some schedule news. 2/13 SJU at Shuart. 2/27 Stony Brook at Shuart. 3/6 UMass at Shuart and 4/10 at UMass. 3/13 at Towson and on 4/3 at Shuart. 4/17 Delaware at Shuart. With the Syracuse game that totals 8. We'll also play Fairfield and Drexel at least once so that totals 10.

We played LIU last year. Maybe they'll be added to the schedule.

Rutgers is another possibility, perhaps for a preseason scrimmage.

Good first coaches report with Seth Tierney above. He said original schedule would have had us play three Big Ten teams (Johns Hopkins, Michigan and Rutgers).

Is great to see Hopkins hopefully back on our schedule going forward after 2021 after not having played them in regular season since 2010.

JHU has a new coach. Glad to be back in good graces with the Blue Jays.

That was an incredible game Jojo - HU had some epic battles with JHU when they were really top of the food chain, I attended many as a student, great times.
