Possible transfer

Post by stuball888 »

Brendan Medley Bacon from Coppin State, Sounds like a dish at IHOP. He is 7ft1 and 245. Could be a solid backup and insurance for Issac Kante.

How about this one, 6-8 230 lb RSJR Fred Scott, transferring from Rider, came to Rider from DePaul...eligible immediately.

He's a man, averaged 12.6 pts, 5.2 rebounds per last season.

He was a RSJR. He'll be a RS sixth year SR for us. He played in 4 of DePaul's first 9 games in 2015-2016 for a total of 9 minutes, and 2 rebounds were his only positive contribution. He got a medical redshirt followed by a transfer redshirt 2016-2017, so he was an academic junior in his redshirt freshman athletic season. He shot threes exactly .400 with 1 1/3 made per game, so he's not like Kante and Schutte. We started four guards, but we don't have to do that next season. If we get him, we could start him and Kante as forwards, and we'd only need one starting guard other than Ray and Coburn. Just like with Kante, Pemberton, and Coburn this season, Kante, Coburn, and Scott could give us three players averaging over 5 rebounds. If we do get Scott, we wouldn't need Trueheart much. Trueheart started with a redshirt season, so if we get Scott I could see Trueheart leaving especially if he would be immediately eligible. Trueheart averaged more rebounds per minute than Scott, and blocked 1 more shot in 33 percent as many minutes. Scott can contribute twos and threes offensively well enough that I'd be happy to kind of trade Trueheart for Scott.
