Looking Ahead to 2020-2021 season
Re: Looking Ahead to 2020-2021 season
Looks like we are adding a game vs IONA - location TBD.
Would loved to see Pitino at the Mack - darn!

If it comes to Cuomo banning interstate travel for college sports then an intrastate conference is a possibility ona temporary basis Either that or cancel all sports for the year or more

Willie's got this!

I like us playing Iona - and for three years yet!. Two of the higher quality local teams that should be matching up every year. Last time we played them at the Mack, both teams had quite a fan turnout.

YES - back when we were playing Iona it was starting to get some legs of a decent rivalry - lets hope it continues this time.triplec2195 wrote:Ditto! With a JAM coached HU team vs Iona coached by Pitino - I am taking the OVER!

The America East is doing the same schedule format as the CAA except for not having a travel partner you play home and away. New Jersey Institute of technology (NJIT) joined to make ten teams. Stony Brook will have eight home games and ten away games including going to Vermont and Albany.
The most recent article on www.caasports.com is the schedule announcement from three weeks ago. I'm disappointed they haven't said anything about a virtual Media Day.

This is absolutely fantastic lol, LOVE it all - the series, the matchup, the marketability, the exposure with Pitino, and especially the method of determining home/away! that is just too perfect in a time when this entire country is way too triggered about everything, big kudos to both sides for not taking themselves too seriously and actually having fun
Hm, perhaps rock paper scissors for the remaining states in the election?? I jest
LONG overdue arrangement - kinda confirms for me the likelihood the past had a lot to do with Cluess. Really pumped to see this finally come to fruition - great local opportunity with larger / regional attention, let's take full advantage of the Pitino factor, and beat their pants off!

That's really funny Stu. We have to keep this a secret, lol. This could become a trend the way all the news stations were covering it!

Found another schedule gem per JR, HU at Richmond this season:

UR is a top 2 team in the A10 this season, super tough opponent, and an excellent OOC game for HU, win or lose.

I wonder if there is another Virginia game as part of a weekend road trip?
Re: Looking Ahead to 2020-2021 season
Yup. Richmond will be tough, but a good add to the schedule. Wonder if we'll get return home date or if this is a pandemic-related one-of.
Re: Looking Ahead to 2020-2021 season
Some of the "better" CAA OOC games scheduled:
CoC is playing Richmond, as well as UNC Tar Heels.
James Madison is playing ODU, G Mason, and Florida.
NE playing Umass and Georgia
