Am thrilled to see that Hofstra is adding an undergraduate nursing major to go along with the graduate program started in 2015, which should have a great partnership with medical school. There is big nursing shortage and hopefully addition of this major attracts many more students to Hofstra and perhaps is also a good recruiting tool for some prospective athletes looking to pursue this field.

"The University also will soon begin construction of a new, $60 million, 70,000-square-foot Science and Innovation Center with state-of-the-art laboratories, classrooms and learning spaces to accommodate our expanding academic programs at the Fred DeMatteis School of Engineering and Applied Science, as well as nursing."

Wonder where that's going.
