The NCAA released the first NET of the season today, and it's very bad for us. Here's a comparison of our rank and the CAA's average rank in the NET, Sagarin, and KenPom:
NET: Hofstra 206th, CAA average 199.2 (we're 6.8 worse)
Sagarin: Hofstra 139th, CAA average 199.8 (we're 60.8 better)
KenPom: Hofstra 147th, CAA average 204.1 (we're 57.1 better)
In the NET, we're 1 spot ahead of our next opponent, Princeton.
San Jose State: 268th
Monmouth: 250th
Bucknell: 254th
UCLA: 169th
Cal State Fullerton: 266th
San Diego: 226th
Holy Cross: 331st
Canisius: 244th
St. Bonaventure: 189th
Stony Brook: 191st
The NET doesn't provide values, but since our opponents have an average rank of 238.8, and the average for 353 teams is 177, the NET says we have a weak schedule.

Including Stony Brook who received some nice press via a write up on their upcoming opponent UVa. They opened with a very good Yale team, then Seton Hall and played Providence after us.

NET means nothing now, watch it change dramatically with every game early in the year.
