Mio Posto Replacing Savoy?

Newsday wrote that Mio Posto, which is in Long Beach, is opening a second location at 16 Merrick Avenue in Merrick. They did not write about what is at 16 Merrick Avenue now, but it's Savoy. Is Savoy moving to the building on the south side of Sunrise Highway? stuball knows people in the community and knows these types of things. We've had fan meetings in Savoy, so we should know if they move or close.

I spoke to Guy on the last day that Savoy was open. Lots of issues with the place on sunrise highway with permits etc. so I wouldn't have high expectations for a return there. It was a great spot that will be missed even by my kids who thought they had the best mac and cheese they ever tasted.
