JWF Could Break a CAA Record on February 7

Post by EvanJ »

The Game Notes say that JWF's double-digit streak of 72 games is tied for the 20th longest ever. They don't point out the CAA record, but knowing what teams are and used to be in the CAA, I can tell that the CAA record is 76 by Navy's David Robinson, which is tied for the 14th longest. If JWF scores in double-digits every game, he will tie the record on February 2 at Northeastern and break it on February 7 hosting Elon. After Gustys finished just short of Robinson's CAA career rebounding record, maybe a Hofstra player will break a different record held by Robinson. I might e-mail Hofstra telling them to use JWF trying to break the CAA record to promote the game. Furthermore, if the winning streak continues, beating Elon would make it 18 games, which would tie 2000-2001 for Hofstra's longest winning streak in Division I.
