Curious-anyone know why he transferred? We could have used him this year.

I don't know why exactly, but they announced it back in March, so it wasn't a big surprise. He said he was going to a DII school, but ended up at LIU, where they basically are starting over as well. I guess he figured he wouldn't get too much time on the court at Hofstra, so he'll make a go of it there.

Allen was a big part of last year's team but graduated and probably wanted more playing time with all the incoming guys.

Continuing from your other thread, I doubt they were forced out. I got the feeling Payen wasn't thrilled with Mihalich's coaching style, but he would have got minutes because they are thin and young up front.

I've heard that JAM was not too displeased that both left...not his guys.

For what it's worth, Allen actually ended up at Sacred Heart, not LIU.

Isn't one of our ex-assistants under Mo at Sacred heart?

Yes, Kyle Steinway, who was DOBO here. A former women's assistant is also the head WBB coach at SHU.

Yikes, Sacred Heart. I missed that. So he went from saying he was going to a DII school to saying he was going to LIU to ending up at Sacred Heart? Barely an upgrade no matter which way you go.

I want whoever JM and staff want on this team, period - they are tasked with leading this program back to success, and to a new level of relevance / prominence - trusting in them fully to get it done, and in their way
