I believe it is up to the coach to get the most out of his team.Look the reason all these D-1 players are playing D-1 ball is because they can put the ball in the basket. If they want to succeed overall they need to be taught D and play it with as much passion as they play offense.
If u take a look at the pre-season predicted order of finish in this league either some teams are overperforming and others are underperforming or maybe just maybe you have coaches out there that are getting the most out of their players?????? It seems like both W&M and NE have taking the conference by storm!!
2017-18 CAA MEN’S BASKETBALL PREDICTED ORDER OF FINISH

1. College of Charleston (38 first-place votes) 362
2. Towson (2 first-place votes) 306
3. Elon 297
4. Hofstra 236
5. UNCW 197
6. Northeastern 159
7. Delaware 156
8. William & Mary 120
9. Drexel 102
10. James Madison 65

Sorry, but so far we have what I consider 3 quality wins- Dayton, Northeastern and Towson. The rest are softees.

Ever consider we get ranked fourth because we have top tier talent but bad execution?

What are Coens and Shavers record for the last five years? Remember Jay Wrights first six years were very ordinary.

Moore was a junior when Jenkins was a senior. If Moore's redshirt transfer season was in Jenkins's junior season, it still makes Moore start two seasons after Jenkins. How were they in the same class.

In the five seasons before this one, Coen is 87-77 (.530) and Shaver is 90-67 (.573). Shaver was below .500 the first of those seasons and was 77-50 (.606) in the last four complete seasons. To compare, Hofstra was 76-89 (.460) but just like with Shaver the first season was the worst. Hofstra was 69-64 (.519) in the last four complete seasons.
Wright was here seven years, and we made the NCAA Tournament in his sixth one.

Evan, most guys on these boards play pretty fast and loose with the stats!
