I'm with you EP over Daly. Eli stats are better when u look at shooting %, 3 point shooting %, FT % Daly apg 17 points and Eli 16.3 Daly out rebounds Eli by about 1 rebound plus a game. I think clear advantage Eli! Probably reasonable to expect him to finish 3rd team but where does ROK finish?

Agree, Eli should be in over Daly. Don't forget, Daly missed a few games due to injury. Next year Justin POW and Eli first team.

Yeah, they'd still win some because they proved it, winning by big margins in a few games when he was off. And if you took the best player off any team, what are they then? I hear ya, but sounds biased. :)

Which week? :D

(I know, you meant POY).

They should be a great 1-2 punch next year. But without Rok, who is going to rebound? Eli's boards could go up. He hasn't been shy about crashing the boards, even the offensive ones this year. But he'll need a lot of help with that. They could get beat up on the boards a lot next year. But let's worry about that then. It's now officially March. A big 3 days coming up.

Daly has the third fewest turnovers per game among CAA players averaging at least 10 points. He also has an advantage if voters favor the best player on a team over the second or third best like Eli is. Eli's big advantage is shooting three-pointers .106 better. Every CAA team shoots three-pointers better than Daly.

I def think Pemba is an all-conf player this year... but who knows how they'll vote - at this point, I just want these guys playing with fire in the belly to prove something big in this tourney.

Next year I think JWF and Pemba will both be solidly in the mix for conf POY honors. Pemba has a great shot IMO.

Still no award announcement yet at noon the day before the tournament?

They would always do this mid-week, at least a couple days before the tourney.

Only the tourney matters now, but still anxious to see who wins what.

Let’s all be glad HUSID’s “little birdie” was wrong about POY, the most deserving player won! Congrats to Gustys for 3rd team and Ray for All-Rookie as well!

LOVE IT, young man worked for this award, 100% deserving! Great to see this, congrats JWF!

Congrats to Rok as well!! Would've loved to see 2nd team, but whatevs. And also believe Pemba deserved to be in there somewhere... this young man has played like a stud in conf. Alas, Pemba, you go SHOW OUT this weekend and that'll be statement enough!

You know what to do fellas 8-) LET'S GET IT

Nice! Congrats to JWF, Rok and Jalen! Well-earned, all of them.

Eli has a good chance to make EVERYONE notice him in Charleston. I hope his non-selection put a big chip on his shoulder that no team down there will be able to knock off for three days.

1st team jwf pusica chealey brantley cacok
2nd team cohn riller isabell martin knight
3rd team daly mosley talley pierce gustys

I missed siebring (best player on elon), switched up brantley and riller (was going for 3 guards/2 forwards), and had cohn one too high, but pretty darn close!

Here's what it ended up being:

1st team:jwf pusica chealey riller cacok
2nd team: isabell martin brantley siebring knight
3rd team: cohn daly mosley talley pierce gustys

FYI I do think pemberton deserved 3rd team, but didn't expect them to select 3 hofstra players.

Thought the same thing regarding 3 hofstra players but CofC did get 3 players; maybe that is what winning the regular season title gets you.

If so, very reasonable.

If you're splitting hairs between two players it makes sense to take the guy who helped his team win 11 straight down the stretch to finish first over the guy who helped his team finish 3rd.

But that's fine. Let Eli make the all-tournament team and stand on the ladder. Then everyone who didn't vote for him now will take notice.

With the awards handed out today, not only does Northeastern enter the tourney on the league's longest current winning streak (7), they do so with the CAA:

- COY (Coen)
- Defensive POY (Occeus)
- 6th MOY (Brace)
- a 1st Team selection (Pusica) who runs their offense

Wouldn't surprise me if they take the whole thing. But, of course, we're hoping this + others, who have the CAA's second-longest current winning streak (4) can beat them:

- POY (JWF)
- 3rd Team selection who might become the best CAA rebounder ever (Rok)
- All-Rookie selection (Ray)

A lot of walking awards in that potential semifinal game on Monday night.

Pemba got ROBBED. He's been amazing the past 10 games. Oh well, I guess he's just going to have to prove it to everyone in the CAAT.

The "birdie" died. Succumbed to a vicious JWF dunk....THRILLED for him and the program!

Shame about Rok...about to break the Admiral's record and he's third team?...This League is clueless, they wouldn't know how to promote LeBron James if he fell into their laps.
