Time to step up the play for a quality A10 opponent here with brand new coach, former stud head man out of VCU, Anthony Grant.

Really love this test for the team - first name/quality opponent, TV game, solid tournament that I think HU can do well in - would obviously be fantastic to kick this tourney off with a real strong W.

Need to dig into them a bit before giving my thoughts, but let's keep improving and see what we've got here - and of course, stay healthy!

Definitely agree that this is a good test and the first quality opponent. Win or lose this game will show us a lot in regards to where we stand this season.

ESPN has Dayton -2

I agree with everyone that this is a real test against quality opponent ...If we play smart and limit turnovers/dumb fouls we got a real shot at this game...we need our point guards to control flow of this game

Greek Freak's brother is on Dayton, a 6-10 freshman.

Should be a good game, Grant always has good defensive teams that defend the perimeter well. I liked what I saw from our guards on Monday, they really kept the forwards involved, we will need that again tonight, we may have an advantage again inside.

The line I saw on my book has us +3.5.

This is a big test for us tonight. I would LOVE to beat a team with a name, especially on ESPN. That FSU game a few years ago was so much fun. Hope this delivers.

The game will be on ESPNU, and the previous game, which is from another tournament, has enough time left that Hofstra might start on Watch ESPN online only. Clemson beat Ohio 81-76.

Edit: http://stats.statbroadcast.com/statmonitr/?id=193244 has statistics. Hofstra is starting Wormley, Wright-Foreman, Gustys, Angus III, and Ray. Dayton is starting Josh Cunningham (forward), Darrell Davis (guard), Trey Landers (guard), John Crosby (guard), and Xeyrius Williams (forward).

Hofstra leads 26-11, which made Dayton call timeout. Pemberton leads all scorers with 8 and Wright-Foreman has 7. Gustys has 2 rebounds. It must be rare for Hofstra reach 26 points before Gustys reaches 3 rebounds. Nobody on either team has more than 1 assist. Hofstra has 4 assists, with none for Buie, and Dayton has 2. Hofstra has made 5 three-pointers and Dayton hasn't made any. Pemberton has 3 rebounds and Angus III has 5 points and 4 rebounds.

Hofstra's lead went from 26-11 down to 2. Hofstra leads 36-31 at halftime. Pemberton has 12 points to lead all scorers. Wright-Foreman and Darrell Davis have 11 each. Wormley is the only Hofstra player with more than 1 foul.

Our defense is absolutely atrocious.

Not sure why Sabety hasn't been put back in since his 4 minutes during the 1st half? We need him in this game.

How many open dunks are we going to let #13 get??

This team just earned everyone's respect. They balled-out tonight !!
