Trivia Question
Without looking it up on Google, Ed Kranpool wore #7 during his Mets career. However he didnt start with that number. The question is what number did he first wear as a Met and why did he change it to #7.
Re: Trivia Question
I'm guessing Hodges took his number

Re: Trivia Question
Sorry Joe but good guess. You have to think before Hodges came over. I guess thats your one clue.
Re: Trivia Question
I looked it up, so I won't spoil it. HOF'er. That should give a clue...Gil belongs in the HOF, btw. When he retired (as a Met) he had most career hrs by a NL righty.
I forgot Hodges was an original Met, so actually, Stu, your answer post-dates him.

Re: Trivia Question
Actually he gave that number up to another hall of Famer. Most Met fans I know didnt realize he played for the mets at the end of his career.
