Sorry to hear about the water pipe stuff, brutal time for that to happen, hopefully all is resolved now - too darn cold not to have a nice hot shower!
So, I'm in the middle here I think... I can def agree and have stated the same about this conf being pretty bad, so that certainly has to be accounted for - this is a wonderful time for HU to be good lol, about the easiest time to win this league in awhile - still a good mid major, but I've said for years it's nowhere near the VA 3 days.
That said, there is also a lot to be said for just how good HU is, and the poor quality of the league in general is unfortunately downplaying it a bit - but this squad is very, very good. This streak is absolutely still impressive - the CAA is still better than several other mids, and HU is legitimately talented.
They will be missing that signature win, just weren't ready to get over that hump early in the year, but no bad losses. And I would feel a lot more confident in HU at this point playing and beating a Q1 or Q2 team.
Also, fully agree that JT has made this team MUCH better, esp on D. He is clearly the largest impact in that area.
But I will also say the guards are playing MUCH better D than they have in previous years. The first line of defense has been noticeable, and we are not seeing every opposing guard on earth blowing by them to the hoop - they are doing a very admirable job.
Not super D, but for HU, it might as well be lol.
A lot left to prove of course, only one thing matters in the end, but so far I'd say the team is playing good D, playing as a team, and most excitingly, getting better.
