I think you are referring to Elo Edeferioka, who transferred to Georgia Tech after leading Hofstra to CAA finals in 2015. https://gohofstra.com/sports/womens-bas ... rioka/3452

TY Hofstra Pride I went into the archives and looked this up I remember her being a pretty good player. In her senior year she was getting 24 minutes a game at Georgia Tech and scoring 7.9 pts. a game and getting 6.7 rebounds. Good numbers against tougher competition.

We won 58-55 hosting Campbell. We improved to 3-6, and Campbell fell to 5-4. We had 9 fewer field goal attempts shot free throws 6-17 (.353) because of threes. We made 8 of 13 threes (.615). Ana Hernandez Gil made of 8 of 10 field goals, which were all threes, and 1 of 2 free throws to score 25. Unfortunately our Team Guide doesn't have the record for threes made in a game. It was our highest percentage shooting threes since we made 5 of 8 (.625) at St. Joseph's on December 22, 2016. It was the first time we made at least 8 threes and shot them at least .615 since we made 8 of 13 in a 71-59 win at George Mason on February 26, 2009.

Just watching some of the games and seeing Ana play she is a feast or famine player. A three point machine when she's on a chucker when she's not.

Even among mid-majors, it's hard for teams in the area to be worse than us.

No doubt we have a really bad team but I am very optimistic about the future. Coach Atkinson inherited a weak roster and little opportunity to impact it in her first year. She has added a 6 3 transfer from Pittsburgh who should be good. Her 2 early signings were Selma Markisic a 5 6 guard from Xavier in Brooklyn who was their defensive player of the year their all 3 years, an honor student(future pre-med) and has been described as follows: "combo guard with high motor effort handles, pushes tempo and distributes in transition game, slashes, draws contact, developing perimeter game; pesky defender". Unfortunately she has lost her Sr. year to a torn ACL. She also added 6 3 Zyheima Swint who from her stats appears to be a strong rebounder and defender but more limited offensively. While having almost no contact with coach I have been impressed with what I have seen and heard. She appears to internalize what is going on in games and her post game commentaries seem more insightful with no script than Joes' with.

We played our two easiest CAA games by RPI hosting UNCW and Charleston and lost both by 3 to make an 11 game losing streak. We could be the first team in CAA history to go 0-18. The last winless team was UNCW at 0-16 in 1995-1996. 1-17 has been done three times which were Towson in 2001-2002 and 2003-2004 and Northeastern in 2014-2015.

I do watch some highlights and follow the box scores etc. We have been playing a bit better and it seems like recently we got JaKala Brown back who I believe was injured. She's the 5th leading scorer getting a little over 6 points a game. We will not go without a win and we play UNCW and Charleston again. Things are slowly turning around for us IMO!

We trailed 19-0 at W&M when they hadn't missed. We made a two and gave up a three. We trail 33-8 with 5:00 left in the second quarter, so the score is on pace to be 88-21 1/3. We have four players with 2. W&M has a player with 11 and five with at least 3.

Edit: We improved. We were down 23 after the first quarter, down 25 halfway through the second quarter as I posted, down 28 at halftime, down 29 after three quarters, and lost by 29 at 71-42. Jaylen Hines and W&M's Bre Bellamy tied for the most points with 18. I went to check Hines and Bellamy's season averages, and I discovered that the CAA statistics put this game in twice, so I'm going to e-mail the CAA.

I’m not really a fan of women’s basketball but can’t ignore the historical futility here. Is this coach going to be one and done?

I watch their games sometimes but find it hard to watch them thru it's just painful. I've been reminded and justly so that its going to take time to rebuild this program. Jaylen Hines is the only girl scoring in double figures at 10.9 she's a start a good rebounder(8.4) and only a sophomore. Ana hernandez-Gill is the 2nd leading scorer at 9.3 and is a 3 point shooter shooting it at 31%. The freshman point guard is an up and comer Sorelle Ineza getting 7.5 a game and they have other decent players but to put it into perspective they score 52 points a game and give up 67. Do I need to say more its not so much about the coaching they need the quality players. They have a transfer from Pittsburg who's 6'3" and a few freshmen recruited they will start to turn it around but slowly next year. There's only one place to go from here!!

Absolutely not. She inherited entire roster and needs time to get her recruits in place before she can be fairly judged. The team has made some strides from beginning of CAA season and am hoping they can at least get one league win.
